Re: novice thinking about solo

I haven't purchased insurance through this group yet, but I have gotten reasonable quotes from Lockton Motorsports. I'll probably be getting this next year if we start going to more events.

Re: My car class?? Solo?

If you're serious about autocross, you might want to look at the Starting Line school at Bristol the Saturday before the ETR event. It's not inexpensive, but it comes with a lot of freebies as well as getting you off on the right foot with high quality instruction. It's a lot easier to start with g...

Re: Corvette Club Autocross - Aug 4

In the Facebook event, it says 'slow speed' so I'm guessing something like a GoodGuys type thing. I wanna make it out to this even though I don't really mingle well with other Corvette folk.

I haven't.... until now. Looks like they mainly focus on 84 up models. I like some of those designs, but they don't have anything in an 18X8 that I need for the front. :(

Car Classing Help

I just got a message from a novice looking to get some help with classing since he is about to graduate to open class. He's got quite a few mods so I've copied below all the mods and information that he gave. HSCC told him he would be in EP, but wanted to see what our input would be. 97 Hx coupe Int...

Re: learn me some knee surgery

My dad just had a meniscus operation completed. He was in a little different situation as he had the operation just a month or so after the injury. If you have any specific questions I can pass them along. I'd suggest finding a doctor you REALLY trust and take their opinion over any anecdotal input.

Re: New Wheel Reconmendations

Thanks guys for all the info. I'm probably not going to test it with the Forgestars... seems like Steve and Jeff may have already used all the luck from the Forgestar Gods. I tried working with Sam Strano last year when I was looking at shocks / coilovers on the Camaro and got really terrible custom...

New Wheel Reconmendations

I'm currently looking at new wheels for the Corvette. I've almost committed to three piece forged American Racing Wheels. I was hoping someone may have some experience with their stuff and can let me know if they would recommend them. I'm also looking at Forgeline, but the price is kind of giving me...

Re: Computer Out of Service

Did you get everything figured out?

I'd suggest that if you go to an SSD to get a Samsung. They come with software that will clone the original disk to the new one. I've swapped out countless drives with this method and it's easily the best $100-$200 that you'll spend on a computer.
