Re: ~~~~~ Monthly Meeting~~~~~

What???

Is this an SCCA thing? Or the restaurant? I haven't been to one of these in a while, but each month the beer is my motivation for "planning" to attend.

Did you not get to see the airport site in person that we were trying for a few years ago? That was the best I have seen locally.

Re: Possible Concrete Site?

A little Googling got me to this... http://www.govanquish.com/ It's a little unclear exactly what the company does. It seems to have something to do with repurposing US military installment locations in the middle East. Maybe they will be staging construction equipment there. Hard to imagine it make...

Re: Fuel Pressure Questions

I agree. I'm still holding on my guess that this is an electrical issue. Ryan, correct me if I'm wrong. What you're seeing is that the car runs fine and predictably until you turn it off. When you go to start while still hot, it cranks over, but it never fires up. In this situation, you will probabl...

Possible Concrete Site?

Earlier today, I drove past this place. https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7541514,-84.0368429,476m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en I have no idea what it is, or why it exists. It looks like fairly new concrete. A couple of tractor trailers were parked along one edge. No poles or islands. It's on the small side. T...

Re: Work possibilities in the Knoxville Area

What drawing/modeling softwares do you use? I know a guy that does some structural stuff, I'll ask him about it. If there's anything there, I'll PM you some contact info.

That would be the GT. Let me know condition/price/general info. Definitely interested.

This is my favorite autocross site. I'd really like to go. Just can't swing it though. Have fun, and good luck.

Re: Fuel Pressure Questions

Lots of later model fuel systems are "dead head" style systems. I assume the new motor and fuel system Ryan is running is designed to be a dead head. Dead head systems use a speed controlled fuel pump and a pressure sensor to regulate pressure at the rail. A return system uses a constant s...

I definitely can't hang out all day, but I could probably come out and set up equipment Saturday and Sunday morning.

Re: Fuel Pressure Questions

The fact that it's dependent on ambient air temp seems like a clue. Even when it's cold outside, does it hot start any differently than you would expect it to?

Have you confirmed that when it's not starting, the fuel pump is priming at key-on?

Re: Fuel Pressure Questions

I don't think that the testing that you've done so far would indicate a problem. When you ran your test, did the car get fully to temperature before shutting off and seeing 55 psi? What you're noticing with the slow/steady pressure drop is probably normal. As soon as you turn the ignition on, the fu...

Re: can i run

Yea, the picture posted is not the Jeep in question, I don't think. There has also been at least one LeMons/Chump Jeep that was actually pretty fast, and hasn't rolled over yet.

I'm actually guessing this was intended for the RallyX section.
