You're going to have a bad time going from the top lot to the lower lot and then back up in a Kart at smokies.
Pavement change in the circled areas is a lot more noticeable than Peli. Doing it on something with no suspension just sounds scary.

Tire MFG used by Dixie competitors Hoosier 90 Hankook 67 Dunlop 52 BFG 22 Bridgestone 19 Avon 9 Toyo 7 All the rest less then 5 each Kind of surprised there were that few Toyos. I guess the new shit being dual compound and no pixie dust 195's in 200tw yet (if they make them at all) is the reason be...

Re: March 7 and 8th possible event 1
I'm interested. Hopefully can get the some bugs fixed on the car before then.
Re: TIRES
Are the new 225's a single compound like the old 195's and sticky all the way down? Assuming so since you're shaving them.

Re: Lets talk racing seats
I'm gonna have to try to move some fat rolls around to fit in that thing. The 17 I gave Lucas was really snug on me. Hopefully still doable though and able to codrive. I think the rib protectors are going to suck for getting in and out of that thing though. Which is why I'm hoping to get some 41's i...

Re: Lets talk racing seats
I got a pair of sparco sprint 2014's (they changed the name of the V's) for $345 apiece new. They fit in the miata, and I like them. It's a small seat though, I have a 32" waist and it's definitely nice and snug. Are there any traditional race seats that fit in a Miata if you happen to be bigg...
Re: TIRES
How wide are stock wheels? I don't think I'd want 255's on something like an 8. Wider is always better with autox. It wasn't uncommon to see a 225 A6 on a 14x5.5 on an E-Stock car  But don't slicks/R comps have such stiff sidewalls that you can pinch the hell out of them compared to street tir...
Re: TIRES
I definitely think they'd be faster on a 9. A 10 would probably be the ideal size for that tire (but you obviously can't run one in that class nor fit one on the car without surgery).

Re: TIRES
I'm impressed you can fit that much tire under a Golf. What about wheels. LImited to 9's in STX?
Re: TIRES
What wheels are the 195 guys going to run this year? 7's or 7.5's? Think the RS3 will like the 7.5 more than the R1R which seemed to like the skinnier wheel? I guess the R1R liked to be pinched instead of stretched? If the 195 RS3/7.5 does end up being the hot ticket for STS this year, what wheels a...
Re: TIRES
Anyone know anything solid on the new 200TW R1R's. If they all are the single compound like the old 195's, the choice between a 225/45/15 R1R and RS3 would be really hard.

Re: Lets talk racing seats
I fit pretty well in Lucas' 17" if that gives you any idea how big it is (40-42" waist). A 15 would probably be the one to have for you, Cody. I think the Kirkey 41 Pro Drags will be what we will use in the Miata. Seeing as how I have 140 lbs and half a foot on my Co-driver, I'm really int...

Re: End of season is soon, any plans for next season?
Things that could be on the agenda for next year. 15x9 Advanti Storms/225 RS3's. Less weight. 2200 lbs or less would be nice. Remove soft top and associated carpet, new seats/harness, replace SS IC piping with aluminum, maybe get a tubular exhaust manifold built. Proportioning valve and grippier pad...

Re: Toyo Proxis R1R Replacements
I think the only 315 17" 200tw ST tire is an NT05 and doubt they'd be all that fast.
