Re: Co-Drive for 5/26

It's not STM, but I wouldn't mind a co-driver in my FS Mustang this weekend. Since it's not on R-comps, you could run it in FS or in Tire class.

Re: Draft of the new Skreets category v3

.... My car in T2 trim can run 18x10 wheels on the race track, but I have to run 8.5 inch rims to autocross because I didn't buy the Brembo package with 9.0 rims. As far as going to prepared or modified, once I have to trailer the car, I might as well skip autocrossing and go racing. You get a lot ...

Re: Registration for AutoX School May 18

The March EVO school in Atlanta was very wet in the morning and dry in the afternoon. It was a good experience. I ran my nearly full tread all season tires. They worked well in the wet but didn't improve much in the dry.

Re: Draft of the new Skreets category v3

Back in the stone age when I was in graduate school and autocrossing my 1965 MGB, (complete with wire wheels) it was much simpler. There were no extreme performance summer tires or R-comps. The race tires of the time were still treaded and you could run a full season on them. You showed up with your...

Re: 2013 ETRSCCA Solo School

I'm presuming the schedule for the school is similar to an autocross: arrive around 8AM and progress from there? I didn't see any schedule details on motorsportsreg.

Re: 2013 ETRSCCA Solo School

Only 14 entries so far including me. Entries were disappointing at VIR this weekend for the SARRC/MARRS double regional too. I'm beginning to think the economy is worse than we're being told. $85 for a school is a really good deal.

Re: April Fastrack

Fixed rim width continues to be a sore point with me. Sure, I'd have access to more tires using an 18 inch diameter wheel, but I'd still be stuck with 8.5 inch wide rims even though wider rims would fit with no body modification. So I get camber plates and another sway bar. Big whoop. I'm still stuc...

Proposal to replace Stock class with Street class

The April issue of Fastrack News includes SEB proposed rule changes ( http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/assets/13-fastrack-april-solo.pdf ) and a renaming of Stock class to Street class. They propose to eliminate R-comp tires in the new Street class and require street tires with tread wear rating ...

Re: evo school

I'm going. But I can't decide whether to leave on my all season Continental DWS tires or use my Yokohama AD08's. I'm leaning toward the Conti's because it's going to be relatively cold and probably wet.

Did you notice the spare tire where the back seat would have been in a street car? That was a requirement back then.

Re: Chatt Sunday anyone??

I'm coming. I would really appreciate having someone with experience in rear wheel drive cars take a couple of runs in my Mustang to get some sort of a baseline. I read the owner's manual over the winter and I now know how to completely turn off the electronic stability and traction control. What yo...

Re: GoPro3 questions

Ditto, now if i can just figure out how to easily load them to you tube for easy sharing Can't you just upload them from your YouTube account page? To be safe, you should shoot any video you plan to upload in 1080p format rather than the higher resolution formats the GoPro Hero3 offers. YouTube mig...

I haven't been to CMP in ages, but there are so many events in March that I'm already doing that I doubt if I'll be able to go.

T&S, but I'll need a little training on the equipment. I can write times down just fine.

I've registered for March 10, but I'll be at VIR that weekend.
