" stock class cars on street tires".... I still don't understand where you're coming from.... my car has all the mods (except a LSD ) that would put it in SP so I can't run stock... and don't want to spend $200+/tire for R-comps... so how would a street tire PAX class suck the life out of...

So why no ST classes? I'd prefer to run with others on street tires and suspension/engine/exhaust bolt-ons versus a SP class where R's and more $$$ is thrown around. Umm wrong, ST is the class that we drive in to the event on street tires and show people on Comps that we still kick ass. I have seen...

If stock were stock, there would be no need for any ST classes. Any mods would bump you straight to SP where you would still be getting beat by someone on R compounds. I run stock because it's the cheapest way to go fast in a dual-use car. And my 75,000 mile OEM shocks work just fine, thank you.

That is usually Brian Hatten and myself, but it doesn't look like he made it either. Brian was there he just got pulled off grid to run timing. I let John W. know a few weeks ago my attendance this year was going to be spotty & some new grid recruits were needed. I'll do whatever when I'm there...

+1 for postponing. It seems like PEV1 has sucked due to weather for the last few years because we've tried to rush it. I vote not to waste one.

Oh and Brian I noticed your running CS agian and was wondering what changes you made to the car to run CSP in the first place? I only had the very beginnings of a CSP prep - ground controls w/higher spring rates, a home made air intake and no rear sway. It was going to be a money pit to go marginal...

Your car has a torsen unless it was removed by a PO which seems unlikely. They're pretty hard to break on a normally aspirated miata. The off the ground/both wheels turning test does not work with a torsen for the reason Mark mentioned. When you're turning left from a stop, you should sometimes feel...

I voted yes since I never hold the throttle open while bouncing on the rev limiter on the street. Well, almost never.

The car I'm looking at is a 1990 with a 1999 motor and rear end with an 2003 tranny. It's a street car so it'll need suspension. I'll take care of that, of course.
I might be interested in that if Steve doesn't take you up on it.

I'm just sharing what I've tried under what conditions and what did/did not work for me. YMMV. I don't change pads on a regular basis. This is just a list of stuff I've tried over the last three years or so. If you're looking for the super-secret-CS-setup, I certainly don't have it. I have too many ...
