Re: Lemons Recap
Congratz to Halfast on a great first day run! That car is not to be taken lightly :) We weren't sure if that was the Knoxville Impala winning or not, awesome that it was! The coolest part in my mind is that means that 3 Knoxville teams were contending for class B for a large chunk of the weekend...H...

Re: Rookie Questions: oh God be gentle
RallyX is a bit different than AutoX. There are no rules in the rule book about specific vehicles. All the rule book says is: 6.1 ELIGIBLE VEHICLES (Mandatory for all SCCA sanctioned RallyCross events. See Article 4.1) A RallyCross event is open to any fixed-roof production based vehicle (including ...

Re: 24 Hours of LeMons @ Barber
Also, although it wasn't really mentioned directly anywhere, a huge achievement for Gary and Aaron was to do so well in their car while using team resources to field a 2nd car. That's a big deal and something that only the best LeMons teams have accomplished...to take 1st in C class, get the IoE tro...

Re: Wheels and tires
I'd also strongly consider the strength of the wheels. I love RPF1's, but they're not super cheap and light so probably not as strong as a heavy OEM type wheel and might get bent. If I were you, I'd find a cheap set of Evo OEM wheels and slap winter tires (or rally tires I guess, for Prep AWD) on th...

Hoping to debut the Civic at this, if the Lemons car is reasonably close to ready for the Lemons race the following weekend, heh.

Re: Laguna Seca, Saturday 12/21 Trackday
Junior Johnson had a rental Mustang at the Dixie tour this year, and it was limited to 85mph. I think it was from Perts. Straights don't really matter though, just point people by, the fun is in the turns! I'd make sure you have track insurance from Locktons or someone similar just in case too. You ...

Re: Corvette club autox
The Corvette club I AutoX'ed with up in Washington state ran all non-Corvette cars in a single class (and Corvette's driven by non-members). So even though I was driving a C6 Z51, I was in the extra class, and so was the pesky Viper on race tires that was the only person that beat my raw time that d...
