Oh I agree... I wouldn't be driving from your place to Bristol for a few passes.... I drive past there on the way back up here.
I'm lucky that our strips are all between 25-55 minutes from the house or office.

Re: Knox Dragstrip Tonight
Well Marcus, if you ever need anything from his biz, let me know. If you need something I can always bring it down to Knoxville on a trip down there (usually 1-2 times a month ).
So, there's no 1/4 mile strips down that way? That sucks!

His biz is called Moore Performance & race parts. Started out as just custom exhuasts taylored to Subys. Bases outside of Pittsburgh, Pa ( bridgeville ). https://mooreperformanceparts.com/Home_Page.html He has some really crazy Foresters that they've done and tinkering on his car with different ...

Re: Knox Dragstrip Tonight
My cousin gave up on buidling his car ( and others' ) for the strip a while back. His 02 has become a rolling catalog for his exhuast/car build biz up here. His WRX is barely an autocross car now due to the power delivery and he's building a customer's nice DSP 99 2.5RS that he co-drives and uses hi...

Re: Knox Dragstrip Tonight
The other 1/8 mile...? Not this one... I'd rather practice launching my car on standard-issue pavement than the slick stuff at the dragstrip, but whatever. We've got some ( or at least had some ) very quick DSMs and STI's here but I've not seen many at the strip in a while. I think allot ...

Re: Knox Dragstrip Tonight
I'm hoping the weather will be good the weekend of the 29th. I'm coming down for the autocross and oping to get Kim out to run her car ( and mine ) that Friday night. Oh, and those AWD Scoobies are great in the 1/8 mile... it's the OTHER 1/8 that causes them to run out of steam :) My cousin's bugeye...

Re: ~~~~~~LINCOLN 2012~~~~~~
I typed something but then remembered that BSP is not what it was last year....lol Lee Piccone ( sp? ) is an interesting factor in that class. He was always fast in FS in his Mustang. SMF.....Jinx is the favorite I'm betting but Tom Kotzian is a great driver too. All depends on how the Mini he's dri...

Re: ~~~~~~LINCOLN 2012~~~~~~
Yeah, Gas buddy seems to work pretty well. Gas has typically been cheaper in Ohio but going to Peru it was the opposite. Gas was $3.59 here and $3.89 there. I don't want to even think about it right now. Gas has stabilized here over the past 4 days ( $3.75-$3.79 here ) and word has it that by Monday...

Re: ~~~~~~LINCOLN 2012~~~~~~
Mark, good to "see" you this weekend. I caught the Tire Rack sticker out of the corner of my eye and it took Kim a second to realize it was you. We have people leaving tomorrow from here and my caravan is leaving Saturday morning. We should be there Sunday aroudn lunchtime. We run T/F so w...

Re: 2004 SSP Corvette for sale!
Brian, Thank you for the post and you are correct David didn't wash the car but after spending a little more than $200 to get the outside detailed it turned our looking real good. It was funny because the guy that did the work has the picture in his show room of what it looked like before and after...

Re: 2004 SSP Corvette for sale!
Robert, we've only met once and doubt you'd remember, but I'm very sorry to hear you're selling the car. I have seen this car in person back in the Leman days and I'm amazed that the car has such low miles...lol David never washed it, so it was hard to tell. I saw your post on sccaforum about the wh...

I cannot remember how that came about, but it was talked about on the sccaforum. I know allot were talking about it at the beginning of the year there.

Re: Corvette Advice
Ok, gotcha. We run similarly here @ SCR, but with our classing, there's no Pro class here. We have Driver of the Year based on PAX, so our PAX standings matter as much as class standings. Our street tire index has an additional multiplier for that reason so that fast drivers that can't afford ( or d...

Re: Corvette Advice
This thread has gone insane.... Since I'm new to the classing structure @ ETR... I'll ask the stupid question. Is the stock classes there same as national events, meaning you can run R-comps ? I think I remember you guys having a tire index class for stock class/SP/P cars as well. I noticed...
