Re: Live at 5 at 4

I would have been a lot happier if they had done our piece of the show in the studio with AC. I dont mind cleaning up the car, being interviewed and having to admit that a Porsche 911 is slow but doing so in the hot summer sun for 2:12 of fame was just too much. Hopefully Sept will be more comfortab...

Re: Live at 5 at 4

Hey, Mark, we can probably arrange for you to do the interview promoting the Adesa event. We at least had a week or so notice of the date of interview but absolutely no prep time and there was no script. I didnt even think that Chris or I were going to be interviewed. Wrong!

Re: Post Chilhowee Event...

good event! course was just beginning to dry up when the radiator end blew off. Luckily it was at the finish line and didnt soak the course. Dont worry, Dave, I dont blame you; I would rather it let go at an autocross event than in the fast lane of the interstate.

Re: Solo In The Park 2012 Aug 18/19 - Chilhowee Official Thr

With modern registration software, class corrections are just key strokes away. It only gets complicated when there are numbering conflicts. You may want to see if you have a unique number for all the potential classes that you may fall into. Usually misclassing is only an issue when you are at the ...

Re: Solo In The Park 2012 Aug 18/19 - Chilhowee Official Thr

Sorry, I had been giving directions based upon 55yrs of experience and memory; not google or mapquest maps. Zoo Drive gets you to the Zoo but that is on the wrong side of Chilhowee Park and I dont know if you can get from one side to the other. You would be better off with either the Cherry Street e...

Re: Solo In The Park 2012 Aug 18/19 - Chilhowee Official Thr

Chris Harp and I were interviewed today on Alive at Five at Four by Russell Bivens for this event along with Amy from the Family Justice Center and Deb from LAET. Dave Yoder was conveniently out of town. Hopefully we will get some good PR for the event. I understand that they also played some of the...

Re: Solo In The Park 2012 Aug 18/19 - Chilhowee Official Thr

I think that puts you on the wrong end of the Park. You would be better served to go to Magnolia Avenue and then go west to the Park. This year's event will be on the Midway side of the Park or the south side of Magnolia.

Re: what cable is this? cut underground cable, no problems

That is not the wire for invisible fence. By its nature, it is not shielded. Not common phone cable either. Irrigation system or outdoor lighting that didnt get installed?? I dont recall if you determined whether the line was hot or not.

Re: Corvette Advice

The initial appeal of an early ZO6 was that the car was undervalued for a time when the C6 cars were introduced. 385hp or 405hp wasnt enough for the true Vette guys who could get more hp out of the C6 base cars much less the C6 ZO6. I started hearing about 15k cars going thru the sales in Nashville ...

yeah, sorry I wasnt clear in my post. Those are the names of interstate exits. Merchants Drive is on I-75 North of downtown Knoxville. Strawberry Plains exit is East of Knoxville on I-40. Both have the usual spectrum of interstate motels.

Re: Solo In The Park 2012 Aug 18/19 - Chilhowee Official Thr

Strawberry Plains or Merchants Road are the closest reasonable motels. The downtown hotels are a pricey alternative. I doubt that anyone you know will want to stay in any motel on Magnolia regardless of proximity. YMMV There is actually a very good and well-known restaurant on the corner(ie Dinners,...

Re: Harness bar

The harness bar just creates too many issues. One is the potential for collapse under pressure; another is stretching and the last is being a "wear" point where the harness will fray from the rubbing on the bar. The best thing to do is get it out of the equation if you wouldnt use it to wr...
