Re: RE: Re: Regional #10 Smokies Stuff

Tread decreases grip in the dry. Bald tires, assuming they aren't heat cycled out or are worn to the cord and are still mostly flat across the contact surface, should have maximum grip. JB has new tires shaved to 3/32. IIRC, he says that's worth 0.5 seconds. I figured they would be heat cycled out ...

Re: Regional #10 Smokies Stuff

Definitely a lot of fun! I just couldn't get a run without making a mistake somewhere different each time. I'm still amazed that the Bridgestones still have the grip they do being as bald as they are. Glad to see the F street class as big as it was again.

Re: RE: Re: Novice school.

Hope all the students had a great time at the ETR school at learned some things that will help them with the events we have. I think it was one of our better schools that we have done. Thanks to all that helped out with the school and big thanks to all the students and instructors. Thank you all! W...

Re: RE: Re: Indoor Karting Comes to Knoxville?

They do have a meeting room but they are charging $90 for 1 hour. They also intend to have leagues. I'm going early when the doors open 11am bring my Garmin camera and plan on taking in a few runs. Anyone else going? I won't be able to Friday, but plan on going the following Mon or Tuesday after wo...

Re: ONE DAY BMS events

Along the lines of what Coatney said, would there be an interest/benefit to doing paid fun runs after a BMS event as a way for the club to make more money?

Re: RE: Re: ONE DAY BMS events

I'm crazy... So not sure you want to count me... But. That's a fun fun lot that is national caliber size... I'd be going for 2-3 at least. I'd also be ok with a price bump at those events to help p the region break even at them. I must be crazy too then because I'll second that opinion. That lot is...

Re: Event #9 Sound Hall of Shame

Any chance we'll have the sound meter available for the Smokies school on Saturday? I'd like to see if my contraption works in the dry.

Re: RE: Re: REGIONAL #9 RESULTS

Did anyone besides Cody take the optional slalom to the left for most of there runs and it be faster? I tried it on one of my dirty runs and didn't like it. I wonder if he may have went even faster  if he went to the right. I went left on two of my three wet runs and it was faster than the w...

Well since I'm typically around 93 I'm open to suggestions on how to knock it down a bit.

Re: ETR Event #8

I had issues on my fourth and fifth runs that I thought was just me over driving it but the tires felt really slick. I tried to turn in that bottom slalom the last run and it was like being on ice it kept going straight. We really did enjoy the course and the change up. Thanks Mark. Sent from my SM-...

Re: RE: Event #8 Sound "Hall of Shame"

3- FS23 - Stephen Vrooman - 95.1 - Another good candidate for being an outlier, except for being a regular "hall of shamer". 91.4, 95.1, 89.2, 90.8, 85.1 I think that was probably the run I blew my line going into the top part so I was probably closer to the sound meter than the other run...
