Re: Blytheville Pro

The long-term forecast would have to call for 70+ degrees and sun with no wind before I'd even consider it. Last year killed Bluhvull for me until they get back there with a late-Spring or summer date.

Re: Renting a tow vehicle?

Miles schmiles. Diesels go forever. And Diesel Excursions are still one of the nicest trucks ever made (though the latest crop of trucks is surpassing it quickly as it ages). I'll still never give mine up, though. I don't get as good mileage as JY, but I'll take it over a gas truck every day. All th...

Re: Bristol is back baby!!!

Staying away from hazards is a course-design thing, not a kart-specific course design thing. But I have no idea where those cables are. Can anyone point them out on Google Maps or in a video from last year? If we're not running over the nasty choppy bits (where I was afraid for my car last year) the...

Shall I assume no karts still? Even if we're running in more open areas and not around the fencing?

I work at Eastman Chemical as a Regulatory and Advocacy manager for our plasticizer products. I'm a chemist with lots of experience as a professional information researcher. Hope to be here for the rest of my working days and beyond.

Re: dixie tour

Wilmington really is the best site in the East. I hope they continue to allow us to run there for many years - and with 3 major events there this year, a lot of folks are getting excellent experience on grippy concrete similar to Lincoln. But if you want to run at Wilmington, you must be on the regi...

Re: Scooters Used for Course Walk?

And if you can do it in your own run group, as Sean suggested, by jumping into a car at the opposite end of your grid, there shouldn't be any issues regionally. I wouldn't suggest in Nationally.

Re: SCCA TOUR Dates

Probably only Spring Nats and a Wilmington Pro if I can time my entry this time... Disappointing overall, especially with Bluhvul so early.

Do a few National events with Kieran. Hit the kart track for more seat time. Run more LeMons and ChumpCar races.

And you'll be so unique. There won't be hundreds of those things at Nationals next year. /oppositeworld They do appear to be modern day Cibic Si or Minis. What is it with FWD cars gaining such status in a driving sport?! One of the twins would be my choice. Or the new Miotter that looks so damn good...

Re: Cancelled?

Don't go to Wilmington for that event! It uses the paddock lot that was sealed in late-July so should be very slippery still. Def not worth that trip.

Re: Auto Auction Today

My fastest run, eventually. YouTube is supposed to be processing out the shakiness, so it could be interesting to see the before and after. I didn't think the course was all that bumpy this year, but the camera shows it ain't exactly smooth either.
