Re: July 17 adding an auto cross

Is registration setup correctly for the 17th event?

Re: Summer nationals

Incredible couple of events. JY - I know you love it but don't get burned out on doing these (or anything else for that matter). Glad to help you plan some stuff and maybe allow a little more delegation. Like, we need to figure out the local trailer so you don't have to make multiple trips up and ba...

Re: Formula SAE Team, Registration and Multiple Drivers

Yep, what Ted said.

Four drivers will be okay, but we can really only handle two per heat logisitically. So 2 drivers will run while the other two will be working their assignment. So if you have 4 per vehicle, what Ted said should work just fine.

I'm planning on it, but our Bristol event is going to be my test mule on whether I think I can survive Lincoln this year.

Re: 6-12-22 course

That's all been talked about as well: http://etrscca.org/etrsccaforum/viewtopic.php?p=157995&sid=5a3c05616eaa12ff739c525de4d05344#p157995 I think you have to admit that the courses we have for the national tours, while still quick, definitely have a much different flavor and mix of elements than...

Re: 6-12-22 course

Hmm. Not much happening in that long run out to the first turn around. It's hard to describe, but those two cones you drove to the right of after turn 1, maybe flip those so you drive to the left of them and move them up the hill a foot or two while easing the exit of T1 a little so it doesn't have ...

Re: 6-12-22 course

We've had all these course discussions before and there's a ton of reading material in this forum and in the solo committee forum about it. I think the horse is dead and it always circles back to no one else really being given an opportunity to try to design a course. Usually by the time the "E...

Re: May 29th event

Some anecdotal info - MINIs really are a rollover risk, and probably especially so at our sites which all will have some off camber turns. A few of the CooperS cars have rolled at autocross events, at least 3 or 4 through the years.

Re: Event #3 Bristol Recap

Yeah, for a local event there's no reason for corner numbers or permission to talk, it just takes more time and effort for no real benefit. Corners just need to not talk over each other. If that's happening consistently, it's probably some technical issue with the walkie. Corner numbers are needed a...

Re: Event 2 check in

We could probably make this annual thing easier. Do a 5 year payment on MSR ($10) and just show the receipt to tech on your phone. Still have to go through tech the first time of course.

Re: E46 Sub Frame Reinforcement - Welder Needed

I had KJ Christopher send me my reciept. I paid about $1600 to have my rear subframe done there. But, I'll admit I was a frequent flyer at that point due to a bunch of shit I had to do to that car so maybe they took pity.

Re: E46 Sub Frame Reinforcement - Welder Needed

I had to do this on the pile of an E46 M3 that I bought. European Auto Garage did mine. Not local or cheap unfortunately, but that's how it goes with these things. I'd suggest joining the NC BMW Enthusiasts group on facebook and see if they can point you somewhere. Or see if you can get ahold of Mik...

Fast Track Sims Triple Monitor Stand (27"-32") - $375

Fast Track Sims triple stand. Only minor paint scratches from making adjustments (see pics). I have used this with my TR160 as well as a Ricmotech RS-1. First photo is stock photo from manufacturer. Can be used for sims of course but also makes an awesome work station. Detailed description: https://...
