Re: cool image

Yeah, you have to go to map settings and switch off the 45 degree feature, then you can see it for a while.

Re: Ladies STM class

Being all egalitarian, we've had at least a few ladies run in the region who didn't need any help beating....I dunno, their boyfriend, in his own car a couple of times. (in before Chris losing that race before end of season :P ) That said, I think the Ladies' PAX class could be positive if it got mo...

Want-to-borrow: helmet->helmet communicator..chatterbox etc.

I'm doing an instructor clinic this coming Friday at Road Atlanta. A communicator is mandatory. I ordered one 2 weeks ago, it isn't here.

Does someone have one I could borrow for the clinic?

thanks,

Re: nitto nt05 ?

NT05: Doesn't suck (except in the wet), but isn't anywhere near as good as a ZII or RS3 would be (even in smaller sizes), and let me emphasize: REALLY sucks in any type of significantly wet situation (compared to a Star Spec) I ran a set of NT05s on my NSX last season. I won STM on them, but honestl...

Re: General Questions

If you turned the car upside-down with the hood/trunk open, would the battery move? If yes, it needs a strap. If the bolts physically secure the battery to the frame/body somehow, then I'd expect that should be fine. Post any modifications you've done to the car and we can help you get it in the rig...

Re: Last nights meeting..and Novices.

As I mentioned at the meeting, I don't think we should lose sight of encouraging people to ride before they drive. We have plenty of experienced people, and the Pro guys have 1-3 not-scored runs during which someone could ride and see somewhat "how it's done" before getting in their car an...

Re: Looking to make a comeback!

The draw to running R's in SM is that you get to run R's in a pretty fast car. You can still look at PAX or raw or whatever. Since the plan right now is to not travel, I've thought about running the CRX on R's or finding something fun and doing a mild SM build --- like an F/I 240sx on 285/30/18's. ...

Re: STM to 200tw?

DeWitt.....you do understand that STM was originally known as "Street Tony Mod" because "nobody" wanted to deal with SCCA's convoluted rules (not in quotes because they are) and just wanted to "run whatcha brung" on "normal tars" right? This isn't a national c...

Re: Looking to make a comeback!

For the record, I'm still somewhat torn on what I'll end up running this year. STM will be fun, but I'm also going to be breaking myself into and tuning the car to run on R888s on the track which, in spite of the other thread aren't STM legal. I'll probably end up in ASP if there is anyone to play w...

Re: Area questions

Re: 2014 SEDive Time Trials Schedule

Thanks for the link Ted. Yeah, If I thought I could actually fit a non-intrusive hoop in the NSX that wouldn't become a hazard when I didn't have a helmet on, I'd be really tempted. I do still plan to procure an actual racecar at some point...after which time I probably would run some with the SCCA ...
