Re: Regional #12 Results and Points Updated

You forgot to DQ my times and I bumped Joey to third in points.

Re: Regional #12 post-event

Which tires were you testing Lucas and what did you think of them? I picked up some Maxxis RC1s for track day stuff. R-comps will definitely take some getting used to, and a lot more heat than I got in them yesterday. Hopefully they'll wear well for hpde/TT stuff. I think fresh 'Stones are faster, ...

Re: Regional #12 post-event

Course was fun (and fast!), weather was just about perfect, and we got 5 runs. It was a great send-off....I'm gonna miss that place. Brian or whoever handles the results, will you DQ or +5 or whatever on all of my runs? I was testing tires that aren't legal for STM and I don't want to affect points ...

Re: Congrats Aerial

I've always had hard time at Adesa after the Toyos and I think it's the tires that are completely done by late fall. The wheel spin at the start was worse than on any other surface I've run this year. Two sets of tires per year is a must. Agreed, this was my experience as well. Adesa is usually my ...

Re: Regional #10 Smokies Stuff

Loved the course, easily the best of all the events I've done at Smokies.

STM is going to be a great battle right up to the final event.

Re: Program TMPS sensors

Yes, every passive system I've come across has a reset button or menu option. +1 for brief changes in speed not triggering the light. I'm assuming it is smart enough to disregard the outer tires going faster than the inner tires in a turn.

Re: Program TMPS sensors

Hey, it's unsprung and rotational mass. The miata uses some wizardry with the speed sensors in the ABS - nothing in the wheel. Passive systems just use wheel speed. If one wheel is turning faster than the others consistently, it assumes that tire is low and turns the light on. No wizardry, just pro...

Re: Program TMPS sensors

A lot of the better tire shops will have a generic tool that can probably do it. I'd call Fisher, Matlock, Murrel Bros, etc, and see if they can help you.

Re: ONE DAY BMS events

Yeah, Smokies sucks. What about Adesa? Are we limited to only one event per year there?

Re: ONE DAY BMS events

Another suggestion is to have a 2-day event but only count 1 day for points, so long as the first day doesn't provide an advantage (ie running the same course).

Re: ONE DAY BMS events

I can easily justify a 1 day event there, even if it costs a lot more than Pelli, but a 2-day is just too much hassle for me. I skipped all the Bristol events this year because of the 2-day format.
