Re: Project ST2 Rebuild

The car definitely looked fast while it lasted. Now hopefully it'll be a simple fix. Thanks... the car felt very good for the first time out. It felt more "stable" when I was pushing it. I also set a personal best in the race so the car is still very competitive. Congrats on the 2nd in TT...

Re: Project ST2 Rebuild

Sorry I didn't get to stick around Sunday Marcus... we loaded up Saturday evening and headed out early Sunday morning back home. It wasn't the kind of weekend I had hoped for, but it wasn't too bad. I was nervous especially for the first practice session Saturday since the car had basically a new se...

Re: Regional #12 GoPro Video (TFSP S-10)

I've used a 315/35-17 all around setup on my vette as well as 295-40-17's up front and 315's on the rear. I couldn't tell a big difference between those two. Might've slightly had better turn in with the 295's, but it was minimal. You can go too big for your rims, but I would say a 275-295 would wor...

Re: Project ST2 Rebuild

Yeah, come on by Marcus... we'll be glad to have you. Edit: Actually, I will almost be traveling through Greenville. I'm going to take I-40 to I-26 and run it all the way to the I-20 Columbia by-pass and go up through Camden. Slightly more miles, but much better for towing a big trailer. Last time I...

Re: Project ST2 Rebuild

The vette is ready for action as we are loading up Friday and heading to CMP for one last race weekend. I took the car over to Jerry Onks a couple weeks ago and he finished up the allignment, dyno, and a few other odds and ends. The car is technically better balanced now than it was last year. The s...

Re: Stone Memorial HS pics

I drove through both parking lots at the school the other day. The side away from the football field would be good, but in the middle, there are concrete curbs that you see from google maps and in between each of those, there are speed bumps. No way to crossover the lots. And the front part of the s...

Re: Santa Run 2012 at Atlanta Motorsports Park, 12/2 for $85

AMP looks to be a great HPDE track. Tons of elevation changes and lots of twists and turns. It's a fairly slow track but not alot of runoff room if you mess up in some places. Alot of racers are disappointed in the track because its so tight and the sound restriction. Nasa had to pull their event fr...

Re: Stone Memorial HS pics

I'll swing by the school on my way home today and update tonight what I see in the parking lot. Its been awhile since I looked at it all up close, but I doubt the front is usable. I'll check and find out.

Re: Teach me about Chevy V8s

I would say a LS1 swap would make your Miata very interesting for autocross. Lots of low end torque. LS1's will make anywhere around 315-330ish rwhp most of the time. LS6's (02-04 Z06's) make stock 350-370 rwhp. GM no longer makes the LS6 which is a shame because of all the GM LS motors, it seems to...

Re: Corbeau Seats

I've driven Tony's car with those seats... I thought they were pretty comfy. I rode to Nashville with him in those seats for TRSCCA event and the seats felt fine to me.

Those Camaro seats are just like stock vette seats... terrible for autocross.
