Re: BMW "Car Porn" Building the ultimate E30?

http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=178661 Fap. There's one on E30tech where a guy was doing a similar build, except his was tube chassis/cage with custom suspension (inboard-mounted shocks with cantilevers, a la race car), custom hubs, and 12" wide center-lug BBS Motorsport ...

Re: Thoughts on a transplant

I think you should keep the engine and flip the Legacy body. Use the proceeds to refresh, strengthen, and improve the 22T and take your time before you swap it in. That engine is capable of what, 300hp or more with a bigger turbo and all the goodies that go along with that (intercooler, better manif...

Re: Evans NPG+ Coolant?

It sounds excellent. The only thing that bothers me about it is the price . I don't want to have to spend $60 to refill my radiator if a hose gets cut, or the engine needs to come out, etc. Even BMW doesn't charge that much, and their stuff mixes with water. :x However, if you try it...please let us...

+2. Almost any muffler shop will do it on the cheap.

+1 to all that was said above. Excellent course design, and it seemed like the grid/staging setup worked better today than it has in the past.

Kudos John. 8)

As always, a class question.

My E30 has standalone EMS, aftermarket shocks/springs, wheels and tires that are an inch bigger in both dimensions versus stock, as well as a different fuel pump, steering rack, and booster/MC setup (some are BMW parts, but none factory e30 options). I signed up for DSP, but it beats me where I actu...

Yup, that's your problem. The racks are internally lubricated by grease, not by the P/S fluid (at least on E30s--I believe Miatae are the same).

So far, so good on my rack with no P/S. 8)

Well excuse me for driving 16 hours yesterday. Plus, midday is probably best through the week because it avoids rush hour commuter traffic.

But please, pray thee continue. I don't want to intrude on your careful planning.

BMW E30/E28/E36/E34/etc. W201 (I think? older E classes) Mercedes Nissan 240 Plus tons of other obscure (other Mercs, Jags, etc.) or older (lots of 70s/80s rwd Jap cars, but good luck finding a good one). None of those cars are expensive or difficult to work on, save maybe the Merc. Conversely, none...
