Generally course setup is a sunrise assignment. So pretty early.

Re: Event Chair/ Course Designers

I could be a co-chair/course designer if someone was willing to show me the ropes, get some experience running the show. Could get there early enough with Ariel to make sure that setup is covered as well. Hey Nick, thanks for stepping up. Feel free to shadow me on Sunday while I'm setting up. Then ...

Re: Flat Rock USA to replace OR Motorsports Park

If this REALLY ends up being 6 miles in length, it would be 2 miles longer than Road America. COTA is 3.4 miles. Holy Crap.

I don't think there'd be a longer road course in the US.

Re: Class Question

I'm not familiar with Porsches, but the class listing says that a 944 (8v) is in E Street (ES). A 944 Turbo or 16V is in C Street (CS)

The 996 911 non-turbo is A Street (AS)

Re: Event Chair/ Course Designers

I'll take course design for Aug 22. Also, when we post up needing help/chair peeps/chiefs, we should make sure that the post goes on the Facebook group page also. Sadly, our forum doesn't get as much traffic these days, and I think that's part of the reason that there's fewer responses when assistan...

Re: 2021 TT Nationals - NCM

There's an STX 2015 prepped one on the sandbox that seems to be a 90% prepped car. Comes with a tire trailer and a slambert hitch also and spare wheels. I'm tempted. However, I don't know if it could go into TT as it sits and be in the mix. I don't know the rules there.

Re: 2021 TT Nationals - NCM

FOMO for sure. My loose plan is to get the Civic through this season, dominate at Nationals (lol) then sell it and move to a car that isn't necessarily autocross focused. Probably a new or used twin (which ever one ends up looking the best), or ND2. May do 3-5 TT events per year, and supplement with...

Re: Event #4

Thought today's event was going to be an extremely long day but luckily things went faster in the second group. I'd suggest to avoid today's 7 run confusion that we just go ahead and officially say that the max number of competition runs will be 6, with the possibility of decreasing to 4 or 5 should...

Re: Video shoot at Bristol

#16 on the list of most subscribed youtube channels at 56M. I can't really imagine them wanting to deal with the autocross stuff, but it would be some far reaching press. I would imagine they have the cash and insurance at this point to cover almost anything that will come up.

Re: T shirt for national event

So it can't read Bristol Motor Speedway or can't read Bristol, TN? Not being able to put the location and date is a little goofy for an event specific tee shirt.

I'd suggest

East Tennessee Region SCCA
Thunder Valley Summer Nationals
Bristol, TN

Re: Video shoot at Bristol

We've got some trash tires for the BMW, and it's "automatic". Would be interested to know who it is though before committing yes/no.
