Re: Noob question CF parts

You could take a road trip  My tailgate is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, so I'll post how it looks. Oddly enough, Fedex shows the whole package as 20 pounds... which can't be right. We'll see what shows up. Dave, thanks for posting the link to this place. I like the idea of ordering u...

Re: Noob question CF parts

Rafal, if you can find a used hood and trunk lid from a junkyard, I will help you install them at my house. I think the hood and trunk lid are the same 2005 - 2007 and Ford made a million or two of them. If you have a friend with a truck to get the parts and bring them over, we could put them on in ...

Re: Noob question CF parts

You wouldn't need to worry about anyone protesting cf body parts unless you start winning but John's advice is best for autocross. If you need to drive this car and save money you might be able to make it look better real cheap. Have you checked to see what a hood and trunk lid would cost from a jun...

Re: Everyone Stay Safe!

My wife and I were lucky. Two hail stone dents in the hood of my car and none in hers, minor damage to house and fence. Mostly just a bazillion twigs, leaves, and a few larger branches down.

Re: 2011 Registration and Timing Workers

I am willing to learn how to do timing. I didn't speak up earlier because I will not be at every event and you are asking for dependability. Given enough advance notice I should be able to attend a training meeting. It really depends on my work schedule though. Some of my work days are easier than o...

Big Ed's is an Oak Ridge thing for the work they do with kids and the pizza. Iv'e had some good times there with friends but the pizza itself is just pizza, nothing special.

I open a thread to see the latest recommendations for muffler shops and find a conversation about tires. What's up with that?

Re: Annual Tech Inspection Application

The year we did it we had an annual tech day so we wouldn't slow down event tech. We teched six cars most of which belonged to the volunteers doing the inspecting. If you get your car an annual inspection, you really do need to inspect it yourself before each event. In addition to normal wear and te...

I'm not brave enough to ride that bike. I remember a drag bike class from a couple of decades ago that had one main rule: No wheelie bars allowed. It sounded interesting but I was not brave enough to do that either.

Re: Looking for a new meeting place...

I still think Calhoun's on Bearden hill would be a good option. They have a private room, pizza, burgers, bbq, AND good beer. Word is they would have certain $$ requirements that we would not be cool with This Calhoun's currently has part of their dining area closed for remodeling. Don't know if th...
