Hey. I'm also going to be in Moril next year. Look for the red 302 mustang convertible that has the dragway number 420 on the driver side (I'm just too lazy to take it off!)

What's the best hotel to stay at for this event that's inexpensive <$100 a night, close by the track, and of good quality? I'm planning on staying Friday and Saturday night.

I never use Tire Rack to actually buy the tires, I just use their site for research. Fishcer Tire in Knoxville (3 locations) has a good selection and their prices are slightly more expensive than Tire Rack but the customer service is much better. They also give you an out-the-door price instead of h...

Alignment

John,

I was told that you were a good contact at ted Russel Ford to do sport allignments.

1. How does it affect the car's handling?
2. How does it effect street tire wear?
3. How much does it cost and how long does it take?

Thanks

Go with credit unions.

THey aren't out there to make a profit cuz there stockholders are the credit union memebers. ORNL, ORFCU, Y-12, K-25, TVA, whole bunch of public ones. I've banked at ORNL forever, never had any problems, good service. Plus CU's pay about 3% on accounts at the CU.

Oak Ridge High School

What about Oak Ridge High? I just graduated from there and they have a huge lot on the Oak Ridge Turnpike entrance. There is a side lot for the local chamber of commerce that could be used for a paddock. The only problem is speed bumps in the chamber lot. The adress is 127 Providence Rd. It would be...

For a car like yours with little low end power i would suggest a roots-type superchrager or a Kenne Bell if that is available. Kenne Bell makes good mustang superchargers and since a roots or whipple type provides almost instant boost at low power (vs centrifugal or turbo). Centrifugals lag also, so...

Won't a big front swaybar tighten the car up so much that it becomes undrivable (this car is already too tight in turns.) Also it pushes off the turns but when the rear tires grip it wants to slide the rear end, anyway to correct that (air pressure, shock settings, etc?)
