Event 10

Great weather. Fun course. I thought I wouldn't like it, but softening the rear on my car has helped make it more predictable. Too bad there weren't more people there.

Any word on when the official results will be published? They're usually up Sunday evening.

Re: 2021 solo nationals

Cool. I'm sure it didn't hurt that ETR now has most of its events at BMS. The only thing better would be a large concrete lot.

If it's the 818GT, yes. But at the price it looks like it's the 818XT which would require you to jailbreak your iPhone, assuming that you still can.

Re: Event 8 after action

My car seemed to really like that course. Wish my last run had been clean. I have no idea where that cone was. Great event and super fun course. As I remember, it was the first cone of one of the three cone offset walls as you were heading to the back side of the course. You hit it with your right ...

Re: Event 5 after action

That was a fun course. The design also allowed more cars on the course at the same time than the event #4 course. I'm glad I didn't have another driver because it seemed like I barely had time to spray the tires between runs. I was surprised there were so few non-pro CAM-C cars, but I'll take a clas...

Re: Looking for a ride for Summer Nats

Local shop?

Someone I know has problems with excessive intake valve guide wear on his LS7 (I think) motor, but that would potentially just kill the heads, not the whole motor.

Re: Event #4

I thought that slalom was one of the best features of the course. Having the first cone of the slalom (or the last cone of the entry sweeper) slightly offset lined the car up perfectly for the rest of the slalom. The spacing seemed to be good even for my Mustang on not very sticky tires.

Re: Event #4

I tend to get sloppy and don't improve after four runs. Since I had somewhere else I needed to be, I left after my fourth run. The shade at the starting line was nice for my work shift. I liked the course to drive. Some people thought it was confusing when viewed from the start, but once you got on ...

I vote for email. I don't use Facebook.

Here's a recommendation for any future event at BMS, nothing but competition cars and associated equipment like jacks and tires and chairs under the tent. No trailers or tow vehicles.

Re: Event 1

Fun event. Good to see everybody again. Good to see 110 drivers at the event. I don't know if I'll be able to get to any other events this year, though.

Re: Classing a GT350

According to a post in another thread, they changed the rules so you can have a splitter that extends no more than six inches beyond the bumper, but I haven't checked for myself as, unfortunately, it's no longer relevant to me. Of course if you only run local events, it's unlikely anyone local would...

No splitter that sticks out past the bumper either unless it was a factory option. Belly pans can be added, though, last I checked.

Smart move. I'm afraid things are about to get very ugly.

Re: Dixie/Zmax

My friend said that the turnout at VIR, both cars and workers, was decent. There is some question, therefore whether Dixie or VIR was holding the largest sporting event in the country this last weekend.
