Re: Toledo Pro

Sounds like British cars. Those used to leak oil on the showroom floor.

Re: Torque Arm

But do you want a low rear roll center for autocross? Moving the roll center up or down also changes the balance of the car. When you lower the rear roll center, you increase grip in the rear and lower it in the front, i.e. you make the car push more. I want a lower one than stock on a 79-04 Mustan...

Re: Torque Arm

I assume that Dewitt's mechanic is Beau Dunnivant. Correct. For SN95's he recommends a Panhard bar and a torque arm as well as the subframe connectors. The S197 frame is stiff enough that subframe connectors aren't needed. At least when I last paid attention, the Watts link was WAY more expensive a...

Re: Torque Arm

Mine made a huge difference Your's is an older model than Jeff's. Do you have the sub-frame connectors too? Installed but I have to torque all the bolts down and then put the tars back on it. Hope Sunday is a good test day before going to zmax the following weekend for more testing. So did it work?...

They used to sell off-road trikes, 1F-2R. They don't any more, too many broken bones. They were banned in 1988.

Re: Dixie

Does anyone know why the AS cars were so much faster than the CAM cars? All the fast AS cars were on BFG tires while the winners in CAM-S and CAM-C (congrats Randy) were on Bridgestones. BFG now has the Rival S 1.5 in 315 and 335 sizes for 18 inch wheels. Could they be that much faster than the 305...

Re: RallyCross for the AutoCross Driver... from SCCA

If you're going to do RallyX timing, then do it. No dropped runs. Bogie times for DNF's, etc. Even better, change the course some between runs. Picking and choosing which parts of RallyX timing to use, especially after the fact, is bogus.

Jeff Cox should be in the CAM PAX class rather than by himself in CAM-C.

Re: Zmax

They never run on Sunday at zMax. They couldn't start until after noon, which wouldn't work very well with their large entries. I can't do away events for the foreseeable future. I'm not sure I can do local events either. My wife was injured in a car wreck last October that eventually required spina...

Re: Feedback on events

CCR does Saturday events at zMax because they have to. On Sunday they couldn't start before noon, as I remember, and that isn't enough time for their usual entry numbers.

You should give them a shot! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk Yeah, like I'd be able to tell the difference. Besides, I need to wear out my relatively new Rival S tires first. Speaking of which, I'm probably going to be in the market for a co-driver/crew person for next year. Changing tires at ...

Re: 2019 pax

I just looked up Falkens at Tire Rack. The Azenis RT615K+ might actually be a decent tire. The CAM size, the largest they make, would be 315/30/18. It has a load range of 98W and a max load of 1653 lbs. Compare that to the 315/30/18 BFG Rival S with a load range of 91W and a max load of 1356lbs. Eve...

Looks like a CAMC can run in the top five in raw times with a good driver. Not saying that includes me.
Jadrice is better than good. I don't know if he qualifies as an alien, but he's not that far off.

Re: 2019 pax

Now that I know what to look for, the Chevelle/Corvette isn't terrible, but it's not a world beater either. The Schoonmakers are now running a 69 Camaro in addtion to or instead of the 64 Chevelle, but I don't know anything about it. They seem to be finishing at about the same relative positions in ...
