Re: Need help choosing coilover spring rates
I'm betting it allowed him to get on the power a lot sooner on corner exit. Exactly. WRX's will get inside rear wheelspin if it lifts. When the wheel touches down, the car lurches forward and goes. Really bad for the diff. Well maybe I will put the rear bar on full soft and see how it does. Hey tak...

Re: Need help choosing coilover spring rates
My alignment was this: Front -1.5 street -MAX autocross (I never measured the max, but it was in the -3.5 range I'd say) As long as toe is 0, you should be ok on tire wear, but will eventually need to flip, so get non-directional tires for your streets. Yes, you will get toe-out when you change you...

Re: Need help choosing coilover spring rates
I wonder if the GD chasis ride height needs to be different than the GR's. My car is sitting at 14.5" on the ride hight both front and rear. Without going to a much stiffer spring I can't imagine it any lower. I'm already pushing the limits on available shock travel. I'm sure this all changes w...

Re: Ordered myself something nice today.
Chris, what shocks and front bar are you going to go with? Probably a 25mm front bar. Most likely koni singles in front. Goal is to have doubles in the rear to be able to stiffen things up back there as much as possible. That's what's in my head at this point. I don't know what the particulars will...

Re: Meet Nick Disney!
That still amazes me. Babying the car I get 18-19mpg city. On the hwy at 60mph the car will get 24-25. Normally I run 75-80mph and at best I get 22mpg :( I bet the aero is quite a bit better on the sedan. Ouch! I can't remember... Still stock downpipe...? If so, that may be part of the problem. 75-...

Re: Ordered myself something nice today.
Congrats Chris, I'm sure you will love it. What made you decide to go with the hatch over the sedan? I have loved the versatility the hatch gives me. Its like having a small SUV. Are you planning on DS or STU with it? Fixed. ;) Oops... Couldn't tell on my phone it was a WRX. I'm telling you the new...

And 18 MPG. Thirsty little buggers STi's and kids are for sure. :) I get 20-21 in the warmer months, 18-19 with it warming up in winter. I got 27 driving to AL over Christmas. 8) That still amazes me. Babying the car I get 18-19mpg city. On the hwy at 60mph the car will get 24-25. Norm...

Strano is running a grand sport in SS? Wow he didn't stick the 5.0 mustang very long. Will be interesting to see how the GS does against the C5Z's in SS.
