because there are umpteen million variables that go into producing sound and how it gets transmitted and perceived. So what is the point of even having a meter there? to give Toni Da Troll something to work with on the internet. It gives me an opportunity to practise the Jedi mind trick? :fi...

Re: Sound Report, Chilhowee 8/7/11
Correction - (I wasn't there).
First run was loud, grid delivered warning to the wrong car (Cuda).
Second run was 104.5 - hit rev limiter near sound.
Rest of day - 3rd gear or careful not to break traction in 2nd.
That is all (I think).

Re: Sound Report, Chilhowee 8/7/11
How is it possible to go from nearly 105db's to under 90? Was the exhaust system R&R'd to aid in dropping 15+ db's? On the first run he broke traction in the dust and hit the rev limiter near the sound meter (in second gear). Was told he was through for the day (104.5). He ran the rest of the d...

an SSB Citation that was airborne across the sidewalk and the east bound lanes. Interesting how the chainlink absorbed all the energy and gently set the car down in the median. This was one of the old "dollar" runs after the points runs, with a driver who had never been in this vehicle be...

Hmmm, the prices at the usual suspects in Knoxville are lower than they've been in months. Bought regular unleaded tonight for $3.29 street price, $3.19 with Ingles value card...sentrase wrote:Nice how the gas stations on interstate have jacked up the gas prices for the 4th of July weekend

Yes, about 1985.
Obviously it was not a Windows based system, but I think I can probably pick it up without causing much grief... (no, ETR was not using stopwatches in 1985...)
Otherwise, I can run cones and pick up as usual.
