Here’s an alternate idea… The current system rewards class wins and commitment but potentially ignores head-to-head competition. It does a good job of sorting the driver results except for this inversion problem caused by ringers/missed events/whatever. It really just weighs attendance higher than d...

You'd lose under the recalc method despite more head-to-head wins because Larry only missed one event, and you missed three. It's that old commitment thing again. Remember, the goal isn't necessarily to pick the best driver. I think I’m missing something here… Isn’t this the problem you’re trying t...

Re: My proposal
CS: Larry Huff wins events #1-3. Brian Hatten wins event #5. Brian Hatten scores more points for event #3. Winner changes from Hatten (694.94 old system, 698.26 new system) to Larry Huff (694.38 old system, 698.51 new system). I've proposed a specific rule change to fix a specific problem. I've dem...

How about I just quit jumping around to different classes each event. This sounds like the most simple solution. When I look at the results, Gebbia and I are really the only ones jumping classes. Shawn has jumped classes because of a new car. I do it.......because, well, I like to. It keeps things ...

Does it really matter though? What Dave said... If Larry beats me but we both get smoked by someone else, it could cost him the championship. A random spoiler is one thing but I sure don't want to orchestrate a block (or have it look that way). We've already had one of those *cough*Collett*cough* d...

'99 Miata 'HARD S' Sport
Not mine but down at the end of my street. It's a sport w/o power steering, w/AC, 63K miles. Looks pretty clean except for a ding on the nose. Bilsteins are there. Factory wheels are missing - it's sitting on some 17" bronze wheel (Motegi, I think). The guy really wants to sell it. He's got a l...
