The best way to break a breaker bar is to put the cheater pipe on and then stand on it out near the end and bounce up and down while holding onto the side of the car while a helper is applying the brakes. OOOW beat Geoff in his own car. Congrats, and a little FWD VW beat all the AWD cars in SM. Neal hasn't put the rallye Golf rear in that scirocco yet has he? Sounds like y'all had about the same amout of fun as everyone at the Roebling Road drivers school. It was a Dirt Stocker kind of weekend there....

Hey Mark, I have my 84 Rabbit 16V still together. Insurance totaled it for me, but it would be fine for beating on in the dirt. The open diff in the FF wide ratio trans sucks, as long as we don't explode the motor :twisted: I would prefer to trailer it(I know how we would drive it muah ha ha ha haaa...

HEY, them things look familiar :wink: I guess the guy missed the part about it being a competition tire and not for highway use. He had to drive them on the street for only one event and 30 miles on the tire. If not, I want to run some autocross courses like that!! Hhmmm average of 6 runs would make...

Appalachian Race Tire still has some autographed copies of The Racing & High Performance Tire by Paul Haney left over from the Rd Atl. ARRC weekend. There are excerpts from the book in the Jan 2004 issue of Sports Car. If you want a complete copy of the book, Appalachian is selling them for $45....
