2020 Regional #1 Check-In
Haven’t seen one of these threads posted yet for 3/8 so I thought I’d start one. Plus, I need to know if anyone else who can run timing will be there. :) Event Chair - Equipment - Course Design - Safety - Tech - Grid - Waivers - Registration - Timing - David Disney Sound - Workers - Novices - Van &a...

Re: Go pro
I like the Garmin VIRB Ultra 30 is pretty nice. I’m really happy with the one I’ve had for a couple of years.

Re: Safety Stewards
My SS expired in October, but it should be renewed for 3 years in the next few days as I attended training at Jekyll.

Re: In a pickle in Asheville
Hey everybody, I may have a fix for it to get me home. I’ll know in an hour or two.
Otherwise, JY has graciously offered to come rescue us!

In a pickle in Asheville
Bought a new trailer from Kaufman in Lexington, NC and brought it back to Jess’s parents in Asheville. Packed the trailer and as I was pulling away a hard brake line on the truck (‘01 2500 HD) popped. It’s the line for the front brakes between the MC and the ABS unit (on the frame rail). I’m going t...

Re: Window tint
I had it done on my last Mazda 3. It wasn’t normal tint but was especially for windshields. It’s hard to say how much good it did as I didn’t do a before/after test. You could kinda tell something was on there if you were wearing polarized lenses, but it wasn’t problematic. It probably helped with t...

Re: Event 9 check in
We need to be sure we have a Jr Kart SS. I’m just a regular SS and it sounds like we may have more than one Jr kart.

Re: Event 8 Check-In
Turns out I’m not going to make it tomorrow. It didn’t register that Monday was the first day of school for the kids and we’ve got several things we need to get done tomorrow.

Good Subaru Shop
A friend of Jess's is in need of a good independent Subaru shop. It sounds like she's going to need a good used 2.5 swapped into her 2009 Outback/Forester. Grayson did a head gasket job on it after she told them it ran out of oil (due to the HG leak) and then it dropped a valve the next week. Are th...

Re: Best shops for services (Alignment, Tire Mounting, etc.)
Hey, where is the best place now to get an easy race alignment done? Is that Doug guy still at Firestone? Which Firestone? I had the Z06 done last weekend at my usual place in Maryville and ended up with almost one inch total toe in the rear, which is non-optimal. Some of it may have been a botched ...
