Re: Can anyone comment on the Nitto NT05 or any other 200 TW tire?

Thanks for the replies so far. I should note, I don't drive the Camaro in the rain, and can only think of having to drive these tires in the rain would be returning from an event. In other words, wet traction is not really much of a concern. Bradley - I sent you the SCCA track night schedule link la...

Can anyone comment on the Nitto NT05 or any other 200 TW tire?

I'm thinking about switching to a 200 TW tire for both street and road course action. I do not have the capability of bringing 4 additional wheels and tires with me to each event, so this is my best option. I am leaning towards the Nitto NT05, mainly because they make a 275 and 315 for a 17" wh...

Re: New Autocrosser

Congrats! Probably going to pick up a 135i for kid hauler duties to replace the wifes Z3. Gawd, thats a fun little car. As an aside, the Z3 will be on the block next week if everything goes according to plan. You get much trunk space in there with the top down? The 135i is a hard top. It actually h...

Re: Time to get tuned in!

When I lived in Chattanooga, there were several people there who used their services. They do good work, but their Dyno has a reputation of being a bit "optimistic." So be more interested in the before and after graph than the final numbers. Optimistic? Are you sure you are talking about ...

Re: Time to get tuned in!

So, the Dodge has an appt to get Dyno Tuned on the 24th. (wont make the Atlanta T&T) Place is InTune Motorsports in Charleston Tn. They have experience with Diablo Trinity EX 3rd party tuning. Owner, Scott seems very nice and currently working a Twin Turbo Challenger in his shop.. Any one have ...

Re: ABS Scanner

To follow up.... I decided to skip the wheel sensors since I knew I'd have to rebuild the ABS module at some point anyway. Got it off without too much trouble (who's idea was it to put the ABS pump/module on the frame rail anyway?), popped it open and re-soldered the joints. Works like a charm now....

Re: ABS Scanner

I have been absent from the board, but if you still need an ABS scanner, I got one. I thoughts I had the same issue on my Camaro, so I bought the scanner. Turned out to be the module as well (and not the speed sensors as I also suspected). Tip - you can replace the module and not get into the distr...

Did I miss the Adesa event?

I only look on the board once every 2-4 months, so it seems. I recall seeing an Adesa event listed earlier in the year, but now I do not see it listed as a future event, nor a past one. Did I miss it, or was it cancelled? That was always my favorite place to run and was hoping to make that one. The ...

Re: Registration - Bring your SCCA Membership Card!

Thanks for the feedback. Will all sites be the $45/$65 fee?

Also, I think I have participated in only 1 event in 5 years - is 5-6 runs still pretty standard?

Re: Registration - Bring your SCCA Membership Card!

I want to do a few events this year and knock off some rust - it's been a while since I have been out. Please clarify the following: The SCCA fee is $70/year? An ETR event as a SCCA member is $45? An ERT event as a nonmember is $65? Are these values correct? I ask because I don't remember paying any...

Re: Veloce Top Times

They have been extremely busy. Last time I was there, they had a 2.5 hour wait. When we were in line to pay, they said it would we would be about 3 races away. After 7 or 8, we said something to management; they couldn't find our name and it took 2 more races before we got fit in. Thus we watched 1...

Re: Veloce Top Times

I took my niece and nephews there while in town for Christmas and I was extremely disappointed with the service. The carts themselves were fun, but they lost our names in the system and took almost 90 minutes to finally get us in a cart. Trying to entertain 4 kids between 6-10 years old while talkin...
