I bought my fronts at the start of 2006 and my rears in 2005. They still have tread but have definitely lost grip. I don't get to autox much though so they've lasted me forever.steverife wrote:The V710's are pretty good until they cord, but I do agree that most people can get at least a year from a new set.

This place charges $15 per tire to balance and $4-$5 to mount. Without the balancing it's cheap.steverife wrote:That's crazy cheap! The other AR guys apparently don't go there, because I've heard a few mention $50 - $60 prices.
Matlock wanted $100 for dismount/mount/no balance for 4 16" tires. Eff that.

V710 225/50/15
Anyone need 2 V710s in 225/50/15. I had originally told Bill Holt I was going to buy these but I can't find a time to get up there and buy them. I hate to have him hanging on to them.

It's not nearly as much track time as a HPDE but it's pretty cheap. Unfortunately you'll have a long drive here for not much track time but it may be a good starting point. I was signed up for the first one of the year in February (I think) but it got cancelled. Then at the 2nd one there was an acci...

Steve - There is a PDX at Road Atlanta on July 20th. I think there is racing going on all weekend but Sunday mornings race engines aren't allowed to run so they open up the track for a PDX. It's only $100 and you get about 40 minutes of track time. Definitely cheaper and you already have an SCCA mem...

tire pickup from Bill Holt
I bought some tires from Bill but need to get them down here to Atlanta. Would anyone have the time to pick them up from him and the room to bring them down for the doublex event? It's just 2 15" tires. I can pay a hauling fee. Let me know.

They're 225/45 but I thought you might be able to use them.
