Yes, we will still be running in the rain. Unfortunately, we can't predict the weather when scheduling and in the past couple of years, it has rained on several of our events early in the year.

BTW, the only R compounds that are good in the rain are the ones designed for the rain. :(

It's my understanding that you basically apply the STS rules to your 2-seat car.

Basically, it's STS for 2 seaters. It might not be a national class but it is recognized at many events.

I think with the Miata 1.6 = ES 1.8 = CS edit: above that, I don't know. STS maybe??? If I remember correctly, I think all the 1st gen Miatas are now in ES. From there, depending on what you do to it, it goes: STS2 CSP DP SM2 EM If you are serious about class potential, buy a rulebook before you st...

I agree.
There is another church that I have always thought the same thing about. I can't remember the name but it is just a little bit east of Mars Hill. I also thought about Sevier Heights Baptist on Alcoa Hwy.

If you are interested in a full race seat, I will probably be selling two Kirkey "economy" race seats in the very near future.

It just takes some time, tools, and books. You would be surprised how far VisschusVW has come since he first started autocrossing.

A little over two years. To sell a specialized car, you need a specialized buyer. There aren't a lot of us left that see the value in an early Scirocco FSP car.

Robert Carpenter will probably be handling novice duties at the first event. However, since you probably aren't the only newbie here, it might be more helpful to everyone if you asked your questions here. That way you will get more than one opinion, too. Also, Robert isn't online a whole lot.

Yeah, over the past 10+ years from racers. I'd also be willing to bet some of those parts didn't necessarily come from VWs.

We're getting Karns back??! I didn't even know that was on the option list. The back lot was rough years ago and the poles would be tough to deal with at a school. The front lot would work MUCH better but if the motorcycle school still operates there, we won't get that lot. I doubt we could ...

This is a very large lot, if you can use it all. I don't know if there are any renters in the shopping center there.

I would go with the ATS option. Who cares about center caps on autocross wheels? Plus you get a wheel that is .5" wider. I doubt you would notice that difference but every little bit helps. As far as numbers go, we usually have paper numbers available at the event for newbies to get you through...

www.ground-control.com Ditto that. You get what you pay for. To answer your question, yes, you can probably put Eibach springs on the cheap kits as long as the spring diameter and the length is the same. Ground Control usually stocks a wide variety of Eibach springs in different lengths and a coupl...
