That would be a great compromise and I wish that the SCCA would consider a update rule for all of stock classes. This would make Stock more expensive but if you were serious about it, it would be cheaper in the long run. Whoa, trigger! That opens up a big old can of worms that you don't want opened...

I am not one to see anything about tire pressure especially on a front wheels drive car but 50 F and 25 R sounds a little funky. Maybe someone could tell him it that is the right tire pressure. Sounds like a good starting point to me, with race tires. I don't think there is anything you have overlo...

Sorry to further hijack this thread, but technically, to stay in stock class, you have to run the same size wheels that came on the year and option package of the car you are running. Example, you can't put R package parts on a base model Miata (unless you do the complete R conversion).

I suggest doing figure 8's on them. You tend to abuse them less that way. The idea is to "exercise" the tire and get some heat in it. Don't run as hard on it as you would at an autocross. Bagging them is more convenience than anything. That way you don't get all dirty handling them. Be sur...

I dunno if it was the bigger tire (275's vs. 245's stock) or the soft compound, but I had to pay a lot more attention than usual to keep the car pointed where I wanted to go. Steering felt much more "loose" and REALLY wanted to follow the lay of the road. That's common for the larger R co...

Re: You need a ferret!

You are getting more p.. uuh.. cat for your furry little ferret. Think how much further ahead you would be with this trade  I already have more p.. uuh.. cat than I need. How about she gets a rodent to chase the cats? He has a lot of fun chasing the puss of a cat we have here.

Peru Update

I talked to Robert earlier this evening and it sounds like ETR did well. Robert and John Brown took wins while Mark McCrary and Doug Allen were both top 10 (I don't remember the exact positions). The SCCA website hasn't been updated with exact results but congrats to all. Peru usually has the toughe...

You need a ferret!

Ferret available. (Yes, the small furry rodent) Comes with a cage. If you like cats, you would probably like a ferret. To me, ferrets are more fun than cats because they will actually play with you, but I'm a dog person. I haven't been able to convince the wife that the cat needs to go. Pr...

So, it's not really that bad here at the regional level, with exceptions (MARK!) I have only one thing to say... 90hp. Back to the thread... come out and have fun. That's what it's all about. Get there early and walk the course until you can drive the whole thing in your mind with your eyes ...

I think the intention is a possible class change. SM maybe?

If this is the case, the 04 rulebook should serve you well in that respect. There are usually few changes in the class rules throughout the year. The exception to this rule for '05 is prepared.
