Re: Best shops for services (Alignment, Tire Mounting, etc.)

Thanks Randy; I read the (solo) forum somewhat regularly and sometimes post. Is it possible to ask for Kyle if I set up an appt at Tire Barn? I need to install new inner tie rods as well. For those of you who go to Andrew's place, are alignments part of his normal business or something he does more ...

Re: Best shops for services (Alignment, Tire Mounting, etc.)

Thanks for the tip Randy; I thought about trying that place...I believe Micah had his Miata aligned there as well.

Re: Zmax Nov 14th

Sorry I'm late to the "after party" discussion. I enjoyed zMax, and it was a different experience and quite challenging for me. Thanks JY for all of the help on Saturday and taking me under your wing; I really appreciate it! I felt low on grip and that the car tended toward oversteer more ...

Thanks Steve! Though It might be because you're driving faster than me and everything comes at you more quickly :).

Also, really enjoyed the course Mark!

Re: Last Event

Thank you very much for your kind words Dewitt and Mark! I really appreciate it! Autocross and racing is something I've dreamed about for over a decade, and because of ETRSCCA and the great events, novice instruction (big thanks to Jim and others!) and hard work from so many people behind the scenes...

Re: Adessa

Thanks Chris for a great course, to Dave and everyone who volunteers to arrange these events and make them happen! The chalk lines were also helpful to me to learn the course as I have often forgotten an element or two at Pellissippi the two times I've raced there (though a lot of it may be getting ...

Re: Best BMW shop in Knoxville?

I had my E90 BMW water pump and thermostat replaced (and battery with reprogram while it was there) a few months ago at European Auto Garage and I was pleased with the experience. My car was serviced the same day as received. The service and parts were not the least expensive out there, though the p...

Re: Chilhowee Event

Thanks to everyone who setup and organized the event! I believe I'm hooked on this autocross thing. :) Still plenty to learn...I don't think I could have come anywhere close to you in the dry on Sunday Steve Rife! I'll have to learn how to full throttle through the 5 cone slalom...I feel I get too t...

Re: So I finally bought a car...

Thanks for the info! I'm running 205/50R15 and 205/50R16 RE-71Rs on stock '03 spyder rims. I've thought about a bar and have 2 dot bolts In hand, though I haven't yet installed them. I wasn't sure how necessary it's was to reinforce the sway bar mounts, though it sounds like a good best practice wit...

Re: So I finally bought a car...

Steve, looks like you will be set up pretty well for the event tomorrow. I'm all stock with 160k on the clock.

If you don't mind me asking, what size RE-71Rs are you running front and rear? Also, what front sway bar did you go with?

Re: So I finally bought a car...

Thanks for the welcome and the advice Ted, Mark and DeWitt; I'll register for E Street during the next event and will appreciate navigation help during the course walks at Chilhowee (this course is trickier to navigate than Bristol?). Jim's novice walks at Bristol were excellent and very helpful to ...
