HF seems to be the gold standard for cheap jacks. They're on sale more often than not, I have seen that one as low as $65.
+2 for jack stands!

Re: East Town Mall Potential Location
I'm not sure any of the lot at East Towne would be workable. The pavement is in pretty poor shape to begin with, and there are some pretty massive dips on the movie theatre side.
However, I would LOVE to see us get another site in town, especially one that close to my house.

Re: Updated Forum Software
Yep, I cleared everything. I tried the default Android browser, it works on there. Weird. It's not the end of the world if I can't check the ETR forum while I'm pooping, so don't sweat it too much.

No, it just takes me back to the forum homepage.
I don't know if it's a different issue, but it did occur at the same time as the forum update.

Re: Updated Forum Software
I've gotten logged out once on my desktop. Earlier today, on my phone, I was unable to log in; I put my information in a couple of times, and when I hit "submit" it takes me back to the main forum page, and I am still not logged in. Just tried again on my phone, still the same. However, I ...

Re: wheel questions for D-street
Can't you go +1 inch in Street? I would opt for an Apex wheel or something made to fit.
Fill and drill scares the hell out of me.
Are you factoring in the weight of the spacer?

Re: STM tire rule.
Jim typically outraws all of us, even when we're on 200tw. For me, it's mostly about running with my friends in STM. Logistically, I think it's justifiable because the 100tw stuff is going to be slower on all but the hottest, back-to-back runs at Bristol, and even then I'd say it would be pretty clo...

Re: STM tire rule.
Isn't there a pretty large difference between an R7 and a 100tw tire? Also not sure if any of the cars are xp legal really. I would need to trim back aero, add weight, buy back interior pieces....I would probably just stick to STM and do what Lucas did and DFQ myself if I decide to buy some track t...

Re: My Amod is going away now with pic of new car
The gearing disadvantage is a big concern, although in a relatively powerful Locost that might actually be a good thing.

Re: STM tire rule.
There was at the time. But I think that revolved around a couple of cheap tires coming to market, and the fact that used 140's were still available. I think it's been decided that those cheap 140's were kind of crappy? Maybe? A lot of people, myself included, were still on 140tw Federals at the tim...

Re: STM tire rule.
I don't think Hoosiers would really keep the spirit of the class.
Agree with the others, it doesn't really matter. Even at 140+ the fast people will be on 200tw anyway.

Yeah, I'm not convinced he cut the power but my kart was way, way faster regardless. I don't believe their spiel that the karts are all the same speed and just handle differently.

I'm in for karting, but do not plan to attend the banquet.
That said, I'm not sure I want to ride on one of those torture racks for 7-9 minutes. The normal 6-lap race beats the hell out of me, I think 10 laps would be about my limit.
