James Swanson (hope he doesn't mind me spilling the beans on his car) is running 500 lb springs all around. He drives his car daily. I drove it on the street and I thought it was fine. This is probably as much spring as you want without revalving the Konis. Since your car is heavier, the rule of thu...

Well, I can get the off the shelf yellows for $159 ea. from tirerack. Those are straight out of the box single adjustables. The best deal I have heard of on custom double adjustables was on Robert's CRX @ $1600 for the set of four. $2000 isn't out of the ballpark. I would encourage you to go with c...

I seem to recall some sort of whining about not having enough money and rain or something like that. I would have been happy to co-drive the GTI.

Mark - what was an rsx-s doing running in GS? You got me. I wasn't really paying any attention to it. Robert did well today and the weather really held out for us. It started raining a little for the last half of the last run group. Scott and I seemed to be a little off today. I can't speak for Sco...

No, he's driving the same car. He just bumped to DSP so both of us would have a shot at winning the big bucks.

South Carolina Autocross

Here's some pics from the event today: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dsp33@prodigy.net/album?.dir=/1d72 Robert is second in DSP, I'm first in GS, and Scott is in 3rd (we think). Running on GS pax, Robert would be leading against Bowland's monster AM car. I'm less than .2 sec behind the AM beast. Sco...

Robert, Scott (pumpkin boy), and I won't be there. We're over here in sunny South Carolina enjoying free pizza and running on a lot approximately 4 times the size of Oak Ridge... You bunch o' pansies and your rain forecast...

The SM rules build on the SP rules, so the steering wheel allowance is the same for them.

I also like Marks option of allowing an aftermarket steering wheel in any class. Especially if you have a harness. Mine feels like that of an 18 wheeler, and we all know that Tony wants a NOS button on his steering wheel. I don't have my rulebook in front of me but I'm almost positive that there is...

That means you can't wear a helmet at all. It might crush your head if you had a helmet on.

Yet another reason why I don't like explosive devices aimed at my face while driving. If airbags are so safe, why do ALL racing organizations require them to be removed (except SCCA?). Design the seatbelts the right way and you don't need an airbag.

No, a modded '02 WRX with an STi wing.
You're right. I saw the wing and figured it was an STi. Couldn't tell too much from the front.
