ETRSCCA June 3rd Car Class?

Post by FungiSoup » Wed May 16, 2018 2:30 pm

I am a complete noobie and have no clue what class I fall under. This will be my first time ever registering/attending an event like this so I'm lost!
I assume I would be under the "Novice PAX Class" but I do not know what "PAX" I would fall under.
I will be driving a 2001 Mazda Miata. The only mods are Harddog Rollbar, ISR Exhaust, Cobalt Intake, and BFGoodrich Sport Comp 2's (if that matters).
Thank you in advance! Sorry for silly questions

Based on what you have listed, it sounds like you would be classed in STS. The letters on ypur car should read "NSTS"

Be sure to get there early and find Jim Simmons in the monster Cobra kit car. He is our novice chief and he has a lot of great knowledge for you.

Welcome!

Welcome Luke! You've picked the right chassis too. Based on your mods you will be in STR along with the Novice pax for your first event or so.

I wish NBs were in STS!

Do we actually have a clothing requirement to participate?

Helmet and closed toed shoes is ll that's in the rulebook. But I'd have to guess that all local laws are to be observed :D

I think the ProSolo rules actually have some language regarding clothing.

Welcome Luke, I'm Jim, the novice chief of ETR, you have an excellent car for autocross....If you can, come to the event early, around 7:30, and come find me. At that time I'm usually unpacking my trailer and car, black cobra with a wing, and I'll help you get started. There's a lot to do; tech, registration, wavers, #'s on the car, figuring out the course...but don't worry. That's what I'm there for. We'll keep you pointed in the right direction, so you can have a great time..

Looking forward to meeting you.
If you have any questions pm me.

Thank you very much. And I've heard the Miata is a favorite for these types of things!
