Event #7 @ BMS/ SEDIV Championship

Post by EyeAmL8 »

Had a few questions about the event,

Are we gonna be able to do Track Laps on Saturday?

How many runs are we aiming for? 5-6?

When are you guys setting up? I'm assuming sometime Friday Evening.

Being local, I can come help if I know what time.

Really enjoyed the last 2 events @ BMS and looking forward to this one.

Thanks

I don't think we will be able to do track laps as we will not know when we will be done to go to the track and they only allow us a certain time to do track laps and if we can't make that time we put the lot in jeopardy for autoxing. We will get there Friday evening but probably won't set up very much and I am waiting to find out when early sign in at the site will start and as soon as I get in touch with Scott, I will post that up. We will be using rally x scoring where all runs count except for one drop from each day so if you get 5 runs per day your best 4 runs count from each day to get your time.

Does anyone know if we will be able to leave trailers and cars in paddock over night.

Yes, cars and trailers will be allowed overnight but no camping on site where we run, paddock, and grid. Camping is allowed at the open camp grounds that are pretty much right on top of the site.

I'm going to have to bail on this. I forgot that it's Riders in the Sky weekend at Tweetsie Railroad. A bunch of us have been going for years now.

Is this really how event #7 will be done? I should really actually read the page on msr when I'm signing up... This should be a good learning experience for me as I've never done an event with that type of scoring before.

The format looks fun. It's going to reward consistency.

I know it seems that way, but dont take any safe runs. It doesn't work out that way in practice.

Every run is balls to the wall! and you cant hit over 2 cones thru out the entire event.
