If I don't get in a shootout, Sunday is a much shorter day given the Match Tour format of the CAM Challenge. Also, I'm not going to drive there on the Bridgestones, so packing up won't be such a PITA. If I had been driving in an earlier heat, I probably wouldn't have left early at Wilmington. It was the prospect of starting to pack up the car at 6PM Sunday that was the deciding factor.

If you looked at the weather forecasts for the weekend, you wouldn't have thought it possible that all three days would be dry. There was the occasional drop of water falling from the sky, but never enough to affect traction. I only DNF'd one run, and that didn't involve getting lost, so it was a successful weekend for me.

That was a cool event. Dave and DeWitt put down some good times. Jeff drove really well. Me, not so much. Where's the freaking Hoosiers? [emoji38]

I would suggest going to anyone with a street tire muscle car.

Mark,

Making it to the round of four in the shootout on Sunday was not too shabby as far as driving. My times were mid-pack and Sunday was better than Saturday. But yes, fun event. I'd like to go again.

You'll need new wheels, but I'd look seriously at the 305/30/19 Kumho v720 for CAM.

The 305 Bridgestone is also now out and they may be the tire to get.

Is it legal for Nationals this year? It better be pretty good at $100 more/tire than the Kumho.

By the way, ETR's own David Hamilton won the "Spirit of CAM" award at Peru. Nominations for that award are by fellow competitors.
