As long as we continue to do the 75/25 split with Bristol:

A $5 fee increase nets us an extra $31.25 per 25 paid drivers, once we make the minimum.

A $10 fee increase nets us an extra $62.50 per 25 paid drivers, once we make the minimum.

I don't recall how many it takes to make the minimum lot rental for Bristol, but it's more than 50 @ $35 - and there are SCCA fees beyond that.

You're never going to make up for not making the minimum driver count at a $62.50 per 25 driver rate - it's as simple as that.

But you will make the minimum lot rental at a lower driver count and have some additional modest gains from that.

One thing that will be necessary, coordinate dates with CCR. I don't think we want to schedule events at BMS opposite a CCR zMax event. Although that may not be a problem for Saturday events at zMax and Sunday at BMS.

The 1 day events at Bristol are great. I would be up for 4+ on this. I also like changing the venues from event to event. Like rotate it in with the other locations we have if possible rather than back to back.

Can we get more events per year at Smokies?

I suspect we could get 3-4 at Smokies if we wanted it.

Smokies is about 1/2 hour closer to me, so I'm in favor.

I come back because of the club and I want to see friends, etc, but...

every single time I've ran there since '05, I've sworn that I'd never come back.

I like it better than Pellissippi, it's something different, and it's a LOT closer to the main member base of ETR. I love Bristol, but I can't make 6 events a year up there. If it wasn't for having kids, it would be a different story. I'd be signed up for all the club could handle at Bristol.

It might not be as hateful with power, but it is super pinched off and I feel like I could run the uphill parts faster than I can drive them.

Yeah, Smokies sucks. What about Adesa? Are we limited to only one event per year there?

Yes, if that. I don't think they are too keen on autocross anymore. It's getting to where it's bad on tires too. But still, it's a really good site and I am glad to be able to run there even only once a year.

It would be nice if Adesa didn't conflict with US F1 at COTA.
