More Bristol events are a good thing in my book.

I'd generalize it as our fee structure is not the problem.

Guaranteeing a full roster (90+ drivers) show up + pay up in spite of a rain event / bad weather forecast - is more the nature of the problem.
This is true. Historically, we've had some dumb luck with Bristol and rain.

Only problem with doing a TnT at BMS is that Saturday cost of the lot is 1800.00 dollars for just one day.

That's another problem that i have personally with having so many events up there is that we have to have a lot of people just to break even. We absolutely lost our asses earlier this year. I absolutely love the venue, but it's pretty risky

It is risky, but with pelli and the uncertainty of us being at that site next year, we may have no choice and if we wait till Feb/March to try and get other dates at BMS, then we may only wind up having only a few events.

We would be limited to about only 50 cars at William Blount.

I am all about the pavement! I have no problem paying a higher entry fee if and driving longer for good pavement. I know Bristol is close to my house but honestly I have no rear desire to do any Pellissippi events next year. You can not learn anything there. I personally have always liked the Sunday events. Lots of people have to work Saturdays.

+1

I know ETR should focus on our own membership base primarily, and I have no problem with that. But, when you see the numbers that ZMax pulls in, even on a Saturday,I have no reason to believe we can't do the same at BMS once folks know that our events will be more frequent. Lots of folks drive from various regions to drive at ZMax because they know it will be a good course and a well run event.

edit: I'm not saying we should run a bunch of Saturday events, but 1-2 would be ok.

We could also explore the possibility of running some events in the dragstrip lot at BMS. I've heard it is huge.

It is Chris but it is narrow and I agree that once folks know we are there for 1 day events the numbers I think will go thru the roof.

Can I put this poll up on Facebook just to see what feedback we get?
