Sound Limit at Pellissippi is now 93 dB

Post by scottgib »

For the last event at Pellissippi, the sound limit is 93 dB. This will be the limit at PSCC from this point on.

Does this mean DNF at 94.5? To account for variations like current policy?

Chris ...I removed the MSR link to the website with the old sound policy until you get that fixed. New sound policy posted now on that event in MSR.

Is there anywhere we can see data about our cars right now? I put a pretty restrictive muffler on the car just so I would never have to worry about sound but I'm not sure my car is as loud outside as it is inside the tin can.

We will have sound at the smokies and at adessa, so you will have an event after smokies to make more changes if the changes you made before smokies wasn't enough.

There's a sound hall of shame thread after every event.

Last year I ran the hall of shame based on 93db and above - dishonorable mention down to 90db, most of the time..

This year I've run the hall of shame based on 90db and above.

The rest of this season will be mainly devoted to making sure that the 90db and above crowd have all the data they need to get and stay under 93db for the last event of the season at pelli.

Next year the hall of shame will adjust to our new pelli reality - down to somewhere around 85-88db, depending on how long that list becomes.

Cody is not currently on the radar (no runs over 90db this year) - but maybe next year...

We're not lowering the limit anywhere else, right?
