ETR national event

Post by jcox07 »

I am very very proud to announce that ETR will be hosting an scca national event again in 2017 at BMS. I will announce more once everything is in place. Thank you to all who have helped keep etr in the minds of our scca officials who really are very excited about the event as well. Thanks JY

We will need the following chiefs positions filled for our national tours and if you can/want to be a chief IM me and let me know which one, here is the list of the chiefs positions we will need to fill:
Chair of events: Jeff Cox
Chief of waivers: Lin cox
Chief Steward: Mark Pilson
Chief of Safety: Scott Boito
Chief of Impound: Robert Carpenter
Sound Steward: Ted Visscher
Youth Steward: Brian LaRose
Chief of course/ course design: John Brown/Chris Harp

There may be other key positions we have to fill and as I get a list of what/which ones they are, I will post to see who will step up for those as well. Thanks in advance

The champ tour will be on July 1st and 2nd with the match tour on July 3rd and 4th. Just an update as we had thought it would be match first and champ second but nats officials decided to go with champ first.

OK noob question about national events. What's the difference between the champ and match tours?

Please put Bronwyn and I down for whatever needed work position. We are in for both national and match.
Thank you Jeff and all the other awesome ETR peeps who pulled this off!!

Champ tour is three runs per day on different courses each day. Fastest run from each day (combined) wins.

Match tour is more runs all on the same course. First day is fastest morning and afternoon runs combined for winner. Second day is elimination runs (some qualifying) working yoir way down brackets. They are a lot of fun.

We will need help on the waiver table after the runs are over with and before they start. During the run groups, people are assigned that as a work assignment, but we are responsible for all other times when the event is running. We will need a lot of help with that since it will be a 5 day event. So if you can help with that after the runs or before the runs, please post up when you will be available. The event will start Friday morning with the evo school and the test n tune will start probably at 11 am and we will be responsible for the gate all day on Friday. Thanks JY

Edit: I know it is a while off, but I would like a list who can work the gate during non running times so we can get with you closer to time to set up times to work the gate.

Those that don't want to or can't work course should sign up for the gate.

I guess I'll be selling Test & Tune tickets on Friday and getting a refresher on registration as my work assignment but I don't mind helping out with this also if needed.

I don't think we will have to do much for registration except maybe a little help on the match tour maybe.
