By analyzing results from several events throughout the country, a modifier is developed and assigned to each class. This modifier is a percentage.

A-Modified is usually the fastest raw time class. So, A-Mod, in theory, is as fast as anyone can go on any given course. The A-Mod PAX is 1.00 (i.e. 100% as fast as you can go).

All other classes from that point are given a modifier so that they can compete against each other based on best theoretical performance. This is how our pro class works.

My Miata on Street Tires obviously can't run the same raw time as some A-Mod contraption. CS PAX is .819 (81.9%) as fast as A-Mod.

PAX works pretty well when looked at over the course of results of 5 or more events, but it's easy to pick out flaws in it if you look at single events and not the whole

OK, so basically, I don't need to be too concerned with it as long as I'm in a 68 pickup. LOL

It's good to be in a kart for 2017! Actually, it looks like almost everyone is getting a break next year. Just an enormous downward trend across almost everything. GS for the win, JB?
