I think that happens every year.

Rick puts out numbers, people go WTF with ________, then he adjusts.

Also, free pro championship to anyone that wants to build some kind of badass 240Z or other old school tiny import.

If that's true, I just lost any respect whatsoever for pax. I thought it was purely based on the math. If they're screwing with it based on "feelings" then it is completely worthless.

The thing about that is that basing it off last year numbers will leave a severely inaccurate index with class changes, new cars, etc. I think he does an "okay" job with projection.

I think he does too... but its HIS DEAL.. he has done it long enough to see the offsets of new cars and classes, without outside input.
I just saw all the chatter on RRAX...

besides... STS AND GS... are still stupid high!!!

Meh, I don't care about pax. Like I said in my course design thread, it's not perfect so I don't get wrapped up in it. If I go out and do well, fine. As long as pax is close enough that I'm close to you guys if I drive well, then that's fine. It's all going to be an uphill battle now that John has horsepower to deal with the Smokies events.

All this said, I'm wondering if I might get more motivation at locals if I ran STM since it would be a huge challenge and it's all raw time. Would burn more tires though since I couldn't punt after the 3rd run.

Us slow race car drivers love that soft pax! Haha. Congrats JB sounds like you've already won 2017 season by this thread. Lol. Looking forwarding to competing with the guys I've been looking up at for the past two years.

HA! hardly... I still have lots to learn about FWD. JY was strong at last event and Pilson had no worries.

Pax is on my side tho...no matter which class I run next year

I'm kind of like Chris...

The part that is tough is that sometimes, I can't really tell if I'm driving well. We had the 2 day Pelli event and I felt like I was driving fairly well and I absolute got thumped on PAX. Days like that make me want to skip locals.

This made it an easier choice to switch over to AS from STR.
