Regarding the bathrooms, we weren't aware they wouldn't be open. We will try to get a remedy before the next event.

Thanks, Mark. I didn't think it was intentional.

Really liked this track as I hit limiter only once. This event was also the closest I have been to the leaders in STM as I was within 0.5 seconds of 1st place as opposed to consistently being 1-1.5 seconds off last season.

This (run3) was my fastest at 41.665 seconds. Mounted the camera on my helmet to capture both the track and my hand movements, and I think the auto brightness screwed everything up! Some cones are still visible, though.

Any pointers to improve my times?

My 4th and best run from Sunday. The bump through the slaloms doesn't look as bad in the video as it felt in the car.

Results should be up tomorrow. I was hoping to get it done tonight, but my other job took precedence

[Bummed to see that JY and Pilson decided to not run Pro. I hope they get their competitive fix with scratch times]

My competitiveness is why I am not running pro this year, as this past event was a very good course and very fair and also not pinchy tight and yes I know we can't hit it like that every time. It just goes to show that with 25-26 pace slaloms (the ones in the middle lot and that was my paces) that the little cars still can win as if I had ran pro I would have finished 3rd with my 5th run but 6th with only the first 3 and I thought the course was good for both the big car and the little cars.

The difference is that at smokies they were actually true slaloms. You had to drive both the entrance and exit cones of the slalom. Not really enough room to do that with that kind of spacing at PSCC without a big sacrifice in course flow (or smaller slalom spacing).

anytime the top 5 in Pro are covered by maybe .250 seconds..

its a fair course. no matter the layout.

I thought the course was typical S.S. pinched off corners.. but had some decent saloms to offset the digs.
Having a well rounded car makes it all "fair and balanced"

Yeah. I was braking probably twice in the slalom. At Pelli, I've pretty much been flat through 90% of the slaloms the last 5 years. I need real slaloms to have any prayer at being competitive. :)

There were a couple tight corners (for me), but it was a very fun course. I enjoyed the simplicity/no overlap

I absolutely hate the entrances to the cross overs. Not much we can do about it except shorten the course, but we don't have enough room to the curb to get into it with some speed like we could at PSCC.

The only part I hated was the final turn before the finish, but I understand why it was there. Otherwise, I thought the course flowed really well, even for a bigger car.

I loved the sweeper into the faster slalom and I liked a level start. I didn't really love much else, but all things considered, the course was a good Smokies course.

I enjoyed the slaloms and the final turn didn't bother me... but I never got either of the two right hand 90's right. I just felt like I was parking in there and hammering the throttle back out. I couldn't find a smooth way in/out of them.

Would running in the other direction keep from needing such drastic turns to line people up for the island pass-throughs? It is definitely a tricky situation to find a way to make sure people are in control before passing the islands. Great decision to not have the course cross/loop itself. That is what let us get 120 drivers through the course with 6 runs each, and on a decent length second course.
