Do to various recent events, the beginning of my 2017 season is looking doubtful. Have some more important pressing issues to handle. Can anyone else pick up sound control? I can probably come out, place and run meter, but no time to do vehicle prep work

The book and everything else in the trailer? If so I can set it up.

Mike was the keeper of the book. I usually just get a set of grid sheets for the run groups printed out and fill in the numbers by the car in question. That way you have a car description to narrow down " WTF is that class and number?"

Yes - I *think* the book is in the trailer.

I have no plans to continue the hall of shame this year - at least not until we have a venue which needs it.

My tentative plan is to spend this season mostly in the pursuit of installed bodywork...

Ok I'll get it set up. Since I'm doing the worker chief job I'll try to make sure it's staffed properly

Also @TECH - PLEASE enforce class letters and numbers. With 110+ at smokies and 3.5 cars on course, we cannot have issues with legibility.

What happens if a car is over 100db? I would like to remove a few of the 6 mufflers on mine.

You get DSQ'd. The national sound rule still applies.

I asked about computers being updated with new software and Brian posted in another thread he will have the computers updated and ready to go. I'm guessing 2017 PAX will be included...can we be up and running in the trailer at 8AM as we have some new chiefs on board for the first time tomorrow JR worker chief, Steve grid chief, Jeff getting trained by Coldbeer on setup these people never worked as a chief may need extra help. Are we lining the course tomorrow would be nice to make an impression on some new people? With the storm passing through will the course trash be blown away?

DSQ'd I'm good with but do you get to finish your other runs even though they won't count? I guess I could look back at the old sound records and see where my car started out.

I never knew we had access to the tampon machine that makes a few peeps not come out and run anymore.

The standard DQ for that run. You get a chance to make a change. Another run and if still over limit, another DQ and you do not make any more runs
