I'll definitely be running the 'stones for the first 3 Sunday.

Give them a good aggressive heat cycle before comparing them. First run on stickers is nearly undrivable.

I saw a new type tire with a weird name being advertised showing a car in a corner they claim they are a new 200 whatever. Any one got info on them? Not sure but are they Nexen or something like that?

Yeah Bob I've heard that is the tire to have this year. Pros aren't using them because they don't pay contingency.
If you want the edge in STS you better get them before I do.

Yeah. Assuming I get them mounted up Saturday, I'm going to try to put some miles on them. That's about the best I can do.

I just got off the phone with the person in charge of vending at Smokies. They will be open between 11 and 2 with food and beverage available. If you like having them open, please go buy some stuff! Also, restrooms should be open from mid morning until mid-late afternoon.

94 registered. Had a small crossover planned for the beginning of the course, which would allow about a 24-30 second launch interval. I believe I'll skip that idea and save it for later.

Don't forget to try to avoid turning on the oil slick.

I like getting a lot of runs like anyone else, but those short launch intervals at Event #1 caused what little hair I have left to turn white overnight (working in timing).....
