Split Screen Video

Post by thrdeye »

I want to be able to make these consistently. Been experimenting with some software.

Here's me vs Rob romancing our cones.

Filmora software...the app or desktop version? Guessing you can you use your GoPro or Garmin mp4 video files?

Works great so far.

Looks like Carpenter put most of the time on you by getting into the throttle earlier... something I need to work on.

Can you throw your raw video for Carpenter's run on a dropbox or something? It would be interesting to sync it up against mine.

Well that's good to know. If it's Dave approved, then it's probably pretty good.

Interesting to watch Robert make time back up on me everywhere except the straights. Also, I knew I blew the entrance to the slalom crossing the course in this run, but you can really tell how badly I blew the entrance to the uphill straight before the finish from looking at our respective car positioning. Also, I have no idea how I didn't hit the first slalom cone in the exit slalom on this run...

I'm just that smooth ;)

No, I didn't let youtube stabilize it. Made it with a Hero3+, which I think has some built in video stabilization.

It's strange how much more stable Dave's Hero3+ is but how much more clear the Hero4 is. I can read the time on the Hero4 footage but can't read it at all on the 3+. May have to do with the time of day, though. I don't remember if PRO and CAM ran at the same time.

Check out some of the build.

Ok the 4 does not have stabilization, but apparently the 3 does. It's a feature they removed. My guess is they moved it into some post production in go pro studio (worst software ever). Or like Cody says, maybe the stabilization was screwing with the resolution.
