I just have a standard Hero3 and it stabilizes my video pretty well. This is last years event at Smokies but it makes the bumps seem rather...meh. I forgot to grab it before the event on Sunday.

I have been looking into a 4 silver for awhile now, mostly so I can frame my shots and do a few things in 4k, also improved audio but, the Garmin is looking like a better option. I also agree with hero studio being a trash program. I would really like to find a better option than Windows Movie Maker but, nothing affordable has come to my attention.

Ah, the watermark from his video. I assumed he just used that for split screen since it had no sound. I'll give it a try and watch some tutorials.

I'm going to use a Waylens Horizon at the next event for comparison (and OBD data) but if I were buying today I'd get a Virb Ultra 30. Can't believe GoPro doesn't have OBD yet.

I wish I could overlay some Megasquirt datalogs or something. No OBD stuff for me, unfortunately.

I'm really surprised someone hasn't figured out how to emulate OBD/CANBUS output on the Megasquirts.

There are options, from Aim type dases to bluetooth tablets. The problem is getting the data to overlay properly with your action cam. I have not seen many successfully do it, but, that could possibly be because I don't have a large network of people that are on racetracks. Most everyone I know usually only autocrosses. There are a few people I see with telemetry for autocross but they are either using some sort of datalogging (AiM, Racepak, ect.) equipment or their action cam supports it.

On the Hydra they had an update that basically emulated CAN output for boost pressure, rpm, etc., and the third party Bluetooth/WiFi adapters didn't know the difference. I'll bet it's doable on the MS if the right person got interested in it.
