Car Class Help

Post by grantw80 »

Greg Wilson bought himself a 6-speed '04 Cadillac CTS-V with a tuned aftermarket Supercharger. Other mods include suspension upgrades, cat delete and some lighter aftermarket wheels.
He's still getting a feel for it, but we plan to bring it along to an event eventually. So the question is ... Cam-C?, or SM? or XP? or even STM?

Thanks all

What tires are you all planning on running?

I think it would fit into any of those classes. XP or SM if on Hoosiers. I would do CAM-C if you're running 200+ treadwear tires. CAM is becoming one of the biggest local classes. It's a lot of fun.

Little to no local SM class. I recommend XP if you're on slicks

Hey Jeff.
The brand/model I can't recall but the tread wear was at 320 or 340 I think so we will definitely be on street tires or Cam class.
Looks like Cam-C might be the best fit for fun.

Thanks John. Since we will be on street tires Cam-C might be the way to go. We'll be way outmatched in XP although a 2-way battle in SM with any other GM cars that might register from time to time might be fun :)
