You go out and run your runs and set your dial in. Your dial in is raw time.

The drivers that are closest to their dial in during qualifying are the top qualifiers. The top qualifiers go into the elimination rounds.

Now, if you have a really quick car or a kart and can go 90% when setting your dial-in, you have a very distinct advantage going into qualifying and elimination rounds because you can make very repeatable runs while still being at the top.

If what Chris has posted above happens and we know probably most every one that will be at this event and their cars and I will use my car as an example, I run a 53.00 on both sides as a dial in and Chris Harp runs a 50.300, that would suggest that I sand bagged and my times would be wiped and asked to try again to set a dial in. Not being able to see your times or know your times during dial in runs should help to keep the sand bagging down.

If setting the dial in is blind, there's nothing in the rules that I saw that says that. Just sayin.

Nothing in the rules that say we will show times during dial in, I know that you usually always see the times but I will let Scott know and post something on Face book as well.

You would have to know EXACTLY WHEN YOU CROSSED THE START TIMER LIGHTS to be able to do it that way. Not sure they can be that good, but we probably just need to include no data during dial ins as well.

I can get a pretty good feel for what a certain time feels like, but it takes me a few runs. Knowing my times, data, etc wouldn't really benefit me for qualifying, since I've only had 1 look at the course. IMO.

Depends how accurate the GPS is. Also helps to map the course when you walk it, especially the start and finish before.

I wonder how consistent, yet slow, an L0206 Briggs Kart would be?

2 runs per side for dial ins with one course being 5-7 seconds longer/shorter than the other kinda hard to say ok I know what times I can run on each side.

OK I'll buy your dinner Steve if you can get within a second of your dial in times before we post them. You go out and make your 2 runs per side then come back and tell me what your dial in is before it is announced and you get within 1 second I will buy your dinner at some event we both are at.

I can't do that.

I meant that I think I could make 2 runs, then make my 3rd run and tell you what it was in relation to my 1st 2.
