I was excited to sign up for this event, but now I see it's requiring you to be a scca member. Any specific reason why?

All events require it one way or another, either through a full membership or a $15 weekend membership

No just one or the other will do.

Oh ok, the way the registration page was worded made it seem like you needed a full one. Thanks guys

I wish someone would please get the registration policy correct because I was told from the start the dragcross event would NOT be open to novice drivers. I started getting a lot of no experience drivers registering so I added "SCCA members only " and gave out refunds… ..now if we are changing who is allowed to compete because participants are low let's get it fixed. I can say for sure in the beginning this event was not open to novices thinking it would sell out quickly. The rules are confusing for experienced drivers how will a novice understand the concept? The entry fee is $90 if you allowed weekend members the club needs to pay SCCA the $20 weekend membership fee just saying.

Thank you...All the corrections have been made today and I contacted the 3 novice people involved. One had to cancel anyway so it's just 2 they are running in the Sunday points event they are newbies and need help. So if we get 1st timers how is the weekend membership handled? Do we pay the $20 out of the $90 or do they pay cash or check at the event if so that explanation needs to be added in MSR. All other entries have autocross experience

Just like a local, the weekend membership is in addition to the entry fee. The good news is the weekend membership is good for the whole weekend so they only have to pay once. How this is actually handled is up to your discretion.

For some reason the registration for the drag cross is closed, this needs to be opened back up and not closed till the Friday evening before the event.
