Thinking about event in September, and questions.

Hi all. I'm thinking about giving solo a try and I'm wondering a) if I run the event at Smokies Stadium in Sept., will it limit my novice class status to one season, and b) how would I "class" my car?
Car is a '91 Miata. Bone stock drive line, various frame braces, Bilstein coilover kit, and all-season tires.

Welcome. Come out and give it a shot. If you become a regular, the novice status won't really matter because you will probably want to move to competition in a regular class so you run against similar cars.
Without knowing the specifics on the bracing, it sounds like your car would be suited well for STS.

I have Flyin Miata frame rails, a "Cannon" rear sub frame brace that bolts to the lower control arm pivots and the lower sway bar bracket studs. It reads like they're in excess of STS and might force the car into the Street Tire Modified class.

Yep... sounds like STM is your best bet.
